It's crazy to me to see PC/Kawasaki NOT move heaven and earth to resign Marchbanks, they've probably invested Millions into him as hes been a Team Green amateur star of theirs since 2012 when he was on 85's. He got the full AC treatment as far as lots of good bikes and parts, won a supercross race daytona of all races and got 2nd in his 2nd sx race and is really starting to show his true potential. This kid is gonna be good and whoever picks him up is gonna get a guy that can and will win races and possibly contend for championships.
If I was managing TLD gas gas he would DEFINITELY be one of the 250 guys I'd be picking up. Geico and Star are overfull, that leaves JGR who can pick him up when their title sponsor comes on board, Rockstar Husky is pretty full but I'd take Marchbanks over Swoll, is KTM gonna have a 250 team separate from the Gasgas effort? obviously pC Kawi isnt keeping him bec of Hammaker's about to join the team but I'm always surprised when these teams are so adamant about going full tilt boogie on an unproven absolute rookie regardless of his amateur career vs someone who's definitely shown promise he is picking up on being a professional sx and mx racer and contending for wins.....PLUS Marchbanks has been working with Tedesco. It's a head scratcher for sure.
this sport is rough, chew you up and spit you out.
hope he gets a good ride, he deserves it
Pit Row
Last years SX average finish 12th, outdoors 18th, with 2 podiums (in a pretty weak field outside the top 3) this year in SX. Now on the couch
That overall doesnt get a PC ride imo
I wasn’t impressed with his results until this year, but it was easy to forget just how young he was, and this year it seemed like he really turned a corner.
When you look at who is moving out of the class this year, I am assuming he will be a championship contender next year if he can find a good home.
Be a good fit at TLD i think. Too good to be passed over.
