Also went over to Yuba City to the grocery store and everybody we talked to was cool as could be. So two thumbs up on my experience. Track was really busy on Sunday but they run a pretty smooth operation at MMX.
An event was held at MMX and 7 bikes were stolen between the times of 3 am and 7:30 am. This is a common occurrence . They cut the locks from different campsites. One bike , which had starter problems, was recovered over by a bridge a mile away.
We are hoping to have security at our next event. We are done with this !
What are the standards for defending yourself/property? Bikes get stolen every day in TX, but if caught in the act there are certain protections for the owner. Especially if at night. I assume these same standards do not apply in CA.
That’s a huge bummer. NGPC coming up too , I would def publicize that you’ll have security there. Last year multiple bikes were stolen at NGPC.
were these bike outside & just locked up? Or in a trailer/van?

This is what’s currently trying to be pushed forward, so that about answers your question…..
Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur (D-Los Angeles) proposed Assembly Bill 1333, which “would eliminate certain circumstances under which homicide is justifiable, including, among others, in defense of a habitation or property,”
I personally could never take another life over a theft. But, I have no problem attempting to deter said theft. From what I understand, defending yourself/property is awfully convoluted in CA. Y'all stay safe out there.
CA will go out of it's way to protect the scum of society at the expense of the one's who actually make this economy exist. I will take my chances with prosecution if someone is trying to rip my stuff off, either at home or out and about, and it won't turn out well for the thief either way. People who steal other peoples things need to be dealt with properly.
That said, I cannot wait to move out of this liberal shit stain of a state.
Agree with you 100% on everything. Wish I would have got out of here 7 years ago when we had the chance, but that wasnt what was planned for us at the time.
Man most of Norcal is rough, very rough. Maybe the most beautiful area in the US but sketchy. Im in those zones all the time.
Ob, keep tabs on this thread and advise, pls.
Thanks.

One cool thing about thieves and tweakers - up to a point - they won’t call the cops.
Do what you gotta do haha
Some piece of shit stole my daughters pw50 out of a trailer park on the north shore of lake Elsinore a few years ago. Two months later it showed up on offer up all rattle canned .
We showed up as if to buy the bike for our “nephew “
I asked to test ride it - the tweaker was agreeable.
I rode down the street into the back of my waiting pickup and my wife drove off. It was priceless
I have taken on the task of finding private security for our MOTO families. Everyone will be able to sleep better knowing their are security guards watching out for us. 85 dollars an hour is so worth saving 60,000+ dollars of our working families hard earned money.
(all caps for the purpose of correcting my mistake )
I WAS JUST CORRECTED BY A RACER I SENT THIS TO . THE EVENT AND INCIDENTS TOOK PLACE AT E STREET.
I APOLOGIZE FOR MY MISTAKE. MMX and E street are neighbors. I thought it was the same property.

A RACER I SENT THIS LINK TO CORRECTED ME. THE EVENT AND INCIDENTS HAPPENED AT E STREET.
E Street and MMX are neighbors. I thought it was the same property. My apologies. Thank you in advance
The event was at E-Street where the bikes were stolen.... regardless... every track in Marysville or Yuba City has had bikes stolen in hours of darkness, locked, unlocked, daylight.. during races... broad daylight... the tweakers strike!
Don’t! Just don’t
