To no one's surprise.

Rockstar Energy Triple Crown Series - The health and wellness of our staff, spectators and athletes are paramount, with this, Jetwerx and MRC have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation over the past 3 weeks. The Public Health Agency of Canada recommends that event organizers and planners postpone in-person gatherings where proper social distancing measures would be difficult to implement and maintain in Canada for the next 8 weeks, in order to delay and reduce community transmission.

With this information we have come together with two plans for the Rockstar Energy Triple Crown to kick off the 2020 season.

This Schedule is Plan A.

The arenacross portion was originally set to kickoff April 25th, Motocross portion on May 31st, and SX portion on October 10th.

They didn't release Plan B.

Updated April 30th.

New updated schedule.

The MX series will go to a 3 moto format with Moto 1 taking place on Saturdays and Moto 2 & 3 on Sunday.

New Updated Schedule (06-03-20)

New Updated Schedule (07-10-20)

Motopark is out.

“Due to limited space at the MotoPark facility for proper Parking Regulations (distancing between race rigs/motor homes/etc.) , the Triple Crown series and MRC have decided to move Round 2 of the MXTOUR to Walton Raceway August 8/9. We want to Thank Iain Hayden and the MP crew for the opportunity to race their amazing track, but due to the restrictions in place it will have to be saved for another year.” Ryan Gauld - MRC Race Director

Schedule

July 25/26 - Gopher Dunes

August 8/9 - Walton Raceway

August 16 - Walton Raceway (2 moto format)

August 29/30 - Sand Del Lee

September 5/6 - Deschambault

Glad they put out a release. I wouldn't be surprised there will be no outdoor Canadian Nationals this year unfortunately. Fingers crossed that things improve and life gets back to "normal".

The City of Calgary announced that they are cancelling all public gatherings and events in their parks until June 30th.

Round 1 of the MX series will have to be postponed once more.

It won’t be a shock if all of the June rounds are cancelled.

Which will suck big time.

I understoodd that Plan B would be "If" we had to wait 'til July...they'd start at Gopher and go East then swing back thru the West after that.

Gives me an MXGP type feel with this two day stuff. Going to work after Gopher will be a big RIP lol. Hopefully we can go racing this year!

Any dark horse Canadians that could possibly shine this summer or breathe some fresh air into the series?

Jeremy McKie (250), Tyler Gibbs (250), and Sam Gaynor (450).

All 3 are on the rise.

Edit: There's also Ryder McNabb under the GDR Honda tent, but he's still an intermediate rider. I think he's one to watch as well.

Okay,we plan to cross somewhere in the july 19th- 21st time frame, so hopefully we will be okay
Looks like Canada will be wanting a negative covid-19 result within the last 72 hours. Alaska expects it as well. Guess all 7 of us gotta find somewhere close to the border to get the test, get the results then drive 2300 miles in 72 hours so the test results are still good.
Really becoming a pita!
Thanks for the info Maverick.

Just saw where Reuters is expecting a confirmation of extension to July 21. It was June 21st end date. Looks like I am gonna have to scrap my plans. Alaska and Canada are proving too hard to enter. Guess I will just drive around out west for three weeks. Either way, I am sick of this Corona virus. I work in the ER so I promise you I am so over this crap!!

Are they planning on allowing fans? I would assume no but haven’t seen anything confirming either way.

No fans.

5 crew members maximum per rider.

Cancel the whole damn thing. Who wants to be the 2020 champ with an * by your name because only half of the field showed up and you won because the included tracks are what you are used to riding on. It's a national series , not a Ontario / Quebec Series.
