It needs to bug him that Alessi is always standing on a higher block on the podium when he says it. Reed is 16 points down and that's not so good because there aren't a lot of guys who can push Alessi back to 10th somewhere along the line.

Chad Reed has more riding ability in his little finger than Alessi has in his whole body - it's one thing to get beat for a title by James Stewart, but to get beat by Alessi ought to piss Chad off a bunch.

Unless Chad starts winning a lot of motos, he's not going to make up any points. Alessi keeps getting Top Fuel starts and he's plenty fast enough to hold most people off. Chad's getting into a hole points-wise and he's going to have to pick it up a lot.

Alessi most certainly needs to piss on this tree. Nobody should give Reed the ante in outdoors. For sure, Mike is the head of the outdoor team, and Reed is doing well, and needs to recognize this new position. Egos maybe creating tension under the yellow tent and that's an area where Alessi can't compete with Reed. Do you think Stewart doesn't know this??, and what better way to rub Reeds nose in piss than to pat Mikey on the back and be his encouragement.


Does this set the stage for the U.S. MXoN team. Stewart, Alessi and Dungey vs.the world


My question is, what does RV think of his old friend Stewie supporting his biggest lifetime rival?

I would think so, but I think bugs Reed more that Alessi pulled away from Reed in the 2nd moto. Yes, Reed did catch up to Alessi near the end of the 2nd moto, but the damage was done.

i thinks it will bug him more when he shows up next weekend and both his teammates will be running the red number plates and hes just barely making the podium with villopoto out. i still hope he can turn it around as the season goes on and win this championship though.

I agree. But think of it this way, Chad has 20 motos to make up 19 points. If he works his butt off and stays healthy, it seems possible. Also, I hope Grant stays tough, and hope RV's news turns out better than it sounds now.

That's why alessi is leading the points chase and Reed isn't right? Alessi has amazing riding ability to be the leader in points in this series! But yes I'll give it to you, in SX it's a different story...

Chad Reed is the fastest in the class, but for whatever reason even when he gets a good start, it takes him 5 or 6 laps to get up to speed and then its too little too late

Interesting. This is all hypothetical,with no basis in fact,but: JS befriends MA. He wants Mike to win the outdoors because RV was getting too much press,hype,fans,and moto wins. JS has Mike's number. But he doesn't have RV's number.In other words he has no fear of Mike and knows if Mike wins the outdoors he can still take him. RV,on the other hand,with a head full of steam after winning the outdoors would have come into to SX next year a blazin'. Oh,well.It's a moot point either way now. Heal up RV. And may the best MX'er win the outdoor championship.Wink CR now has a great chance at getting his first AMA Outdoor title.

this is a long season and Reed is one of the most consistent and fastest riders in the sport....only an newbie would count chad reed out so soon into the season.

I don't think it is bugging him too much. I think he was being honest when he said he wanted to do the outdoors again mainly because he is having a lot of fun riding his motorcycle again. I know he wants to win, but I think he is just enjoying himself more than anything.

I'm probably way wrong, but you never know.

Stewart and Alessi seem to have formed some sort of fake friendship for one common reason- to get under Chad's skin. Stewart just plain don't like Chad, and Alessi is probably pissed that he never got to be top dog at Team Suzuki.

-But it really don't matter. Mikey could WIN the outdoor title, Chad could sit on his butt sipping foo foo drinks on the beach all summer, and mikey will still always be #2 at Suzuki. Supercross carries WAY more weight than motocross, and thats Reed's house. I think Reeds a smart enough man to know this.

Stewart and Alessi friends...Now thats some funny shit!
