If Fornker manages to steal the west title, then I believe all 4 of those guys need to move to 450s next year.

Ranking in SX:

1) Ferrandis
2) Forkner
3) Sexton
4) Mcelrath

Sheer speed or ability to get it done... On most days, I think Ferrandis is the quickest. But he's not quite as consistent as the others and requires more come from behind rides.

1. Ferrandis
2. Sexton
3. Forkner
4. McElrath

Fernandez is a rippa fer shure bruh. The nationals are going to be interesting with those 4...well 3 at least, McElrath has never been a serious contender outdoors. Should also be fun to see how the Lawrence brah's do outside....especially hunter, but I highly doubt he can hang with Fernandez.

Ferrandis, Forkner, Sexton, McElrath

I feel like the west coast guys have been more gnarly. Austin probably would’ve won the East title last year until he got hurt. He was spanking those guys (including Sexton) ..but I admit Sexton is a lot better this year

Imagine if Sexton and Ferrandis took each other out by accident and forkner and mcelrath won the titles.

Lol I’ve thought about that^ It’d be ironic for Ferrandis and Sexton to luck out of the championship together this time, considering how they both “lucked into” their titles last season

West coast is definitly tougher than east this year but watching Sexton last night, he is on it at the moment. I think he is just as good as Austin and Dylan.

In the end it will probably go down between Forkner and McElrath. They both have to win. Ferrandis can just stay one or two positions behind Forkner all race and take the title. I doubt he will go all in to win the thing

At the moment anyone of them can be the best on any given day. Sexton rode like a friggin boss last night that is for sure though.

IMO

1. Ferrandis
2. Forkner
3. Sexton
4. McElrath

Ferrandis has a ton of raw speed. On most nights if he starts up front he wins.

Forkner is also stupid fast. Last year he demoralized Sexton. He started slow this season after return from injury but looks to be back in form.

Sexton is just a tick off of Forkner and Ferrandis. Lacks some aggression. Liked what I saw last race but would need to see more of it to move him up.

McElrath is just weird to me. He has good speed and can run a flawless race if he holeshots and runs away. If he doesn't get the start he can also run the pace of the 5th place guy for the entire race and just go nowhere.

Yes, I'd say he is the guy that needs a title the most of all of them. Really like the guy, but I don't see him getting one on a 450. Hope he gets a great ride for next year but imagine teams are after DF first.

I was afraid the race last night would go just like it did.

Those 1st 2 wins by Shane were great, but it did tell Sexton he needs to find a little more speed - & then he did just that.

Any given night, any one of them could beat all the others. Sunday night is going to be awesome.

P.S. make 250SX a national series

Depends on what day it is. They are all that close that a single day off can make the difference.

I don't think anyone is really "shitting" on him. He's one of the top 5 best 250 Supercross riders in the world at this time.

I hope he goes out there and wins the shootout. He needs it the most IMO.

As a fan its ok to share opinions and be critical of professional athletes. If everyone shared the same opinions this message board wouldn't exist Smile

Honestly, this is exactly how I feel, also. However, I am tempted to put Forkner above Ferrandis, because I think he has more upside and when he is on, I just think he is a bit more complete. But it's hard for me to do that, so pretty much what you said is spot-on lol.

I think it's more like this:

1 Ferrandis
2 Forkner
3 [insert any random 250 West rider]
4 [insert any random 250 West rider]
5 [insert any random 250 West rider]
6 Sexton
7 [insert any random 250 West rider]
8 McElrath

Agreed.

I think Dylan will end up winning 2 championships this year.

I think it will be between these two. Sexton and Forkner have been battling for a long time. My money is on Forkner taking the win. The championship will depend on a few other's finishes.

Last lap with Forkner leading , McElrath 2nd, Sexton 3rd, Ferrandis 4th.
Last corner Sexton lets Dylan past just to piss Forkner off. Wink
