In fairness Roczen has done that multiple times pre injury. Go watch the second half of the 2012 250 motocross season.

Hell I remember him saying something about his boot buckle being unhooked and distracting once after a loss. I hate that as soon as a rider opens up on issues they’re having people see it as excuses. He finished 25 seconds off the lead on Wednesday and it was blatantly obvious to see the drop off in the second half of the main.

Uh, yep. I remember clearly it happening. There’s a difference between getting beat straight up and what happened to Kenny on Wednesday. He went from being one of the fastest and most aggressive on the track early on to nearly getting caught by Wilson at the end. That doesn’t happen without reason. If you want to put it down to him not being mentally strong enough to accept getting beat then you do that, but you’re wrong. He’s been through a lot worse than getting beat
