How could stew even be mentioned in this? He might not have won as much as people thought he would have. But multiple championships, changed the way riders ride and 24-0, a bust?! Only thing that’s a bust with James is the seam of his pants with the shit he pulled off on a bike.

Definitely, I grew up racing with him...well not exactly as I am a few years younger, but I would watch him absolutely shred on his yz 80 and badass NCY super mini. He dominated at LL's and the other amateur nationals for a couple years there. At the local track, Moriarty Mx, he would beat Gio and Ivan Tedesco EVERY race like they were just some "randoms" lol, it was awesome to watch him ride. Everyone thought he was going to be the next "big thing". But for whatever reason that level of success as a pro just wasn't in his cards. Last I checked, which was years ago, he had a successful Mx school in Green Valley AZ. Hope he is still doing well.

JGR. Considering their resources through the years, they've been a disappointment in my opinion.

Why J-bone still has his job is beyond me.

Not saying the disaster is all his fault but why not try out someone different after how the last 4-5 years have went.

If we’re talking single season, Emig’s 98 season.
RIP Swinkster, but I thought Swink shoulda, woulda, coulda done more in the 250 class.

Cant call Swink a bust after winning two East coast SX titles but I gotta agree he shoulda did more in the 250 scene.

I'd say its another Michigan Mafia guy Kieth Bowen. He won a few 125 nationals and had his run ins with Bob Hannah in the 250s. Bad Boy RJ himself said Bowen was the first rider to blitz a set of SX whoops.

You could say it was John Kitsch another Michigan Mobster who dominated all motos at Ponca City against a stacked field including 6 or 7 guys that would go on to be champions. He raced pro for a year or two with no results.

Ronnie Densford was an absolute animal back in the day. I think my cousin ruined his racing career when they started dating. haha

Expectations versus results as a racer is what he meant, I believe. Travis is insanely successful in life and as a racer, but there is no doubt that he didn’t match the expectations that were put on him as a young motocross and Supercross prospect. I say that with all due respect.
should have been more clear but you hit it on the head. I bring up TP199 because of his 250 career that could have been

Hate to say it but Plessinger at MXoN 2018. Usa mx and sx champ 2018. He went 1:1 at the red bud national that year. Mud expert. R/W//B died hair. American flag cape, etc. He has never been the same since.

Emig started to dominate the 98 nationals, won 4 out of 5 races and then and went out with injury.

Well, duh. That 3-digit number is a dead giveaway.
