Not digging the low slung, slim padding on the 2020 YZ250F seat. Anyone out there have a photo of their newer YZ 4stroke with the GYTR Tall seat installed? What do you think of it? Price seems reasonable.

Kris Keefer did a article on it, said good things, hard to find one in stock, I’m thinking of going the guts tall foam route myself.

Not trying to be a dick here but I'd sit on one and possibly loan one and ride it...then you'll really know if you dig it before you spend the $$$

I have it in my 20 YZ450 and like it, its also much firmer than original foam. Height is tad lower than Acerbis X-Seat air, which I also like.

The Acerbis seat looks interesting too. Vital tester said good things except for the weight. Honestly never hear of borrowing or testing someones seat LOL. At 5'11 I never saw myself as a Tall Seat guy but this new Yammie seat is minimal at best. This is the image that pops up in my head when I think of "Tall Seat" LOL

I dont know about the GYTR but Guts racing looks to have some of their tall seats in stock. I bought the "wing" cover for it. Havent got a chance to ride it yet but the quality is very nice.

I have the gytr tall seat and like it more than I expected. I thought I read somewhere that they were built by guts but not positive about it.

Unfortunately, no. GUTS doesn’t have the complete seat for the latest gen so it’s just foam and cover. As far as I know, the tank piece can only be purchased through OEM (in black or blue). There are a few companies that make covers for the tank piece but GUTS does not.

GYTR also does not come with the front price that covers the gas cap. Also it comes in black.

i have both seats.....phantom tall on the Guts and tall GYTR. The guts is taller by a tiny bit and firmer that the GYTR. Both are better than stock.

Anybody know of where I can get seat foam that is slightly taller (3/8"-1/2") than stock? I am 5'10" and would like the seat to be a little taller in the middle to eliminate some of the pocket feel, but not completely. It seems that the Guts & GYTR seats are just a flat block that do not blend well to the rest of the bike. Just curious if there is anything available that I do not have to cut.

Acerbis X-Seat Air. It has air pockets in it and you can basically make it stiffer and taller with adding air to it. The grip is also amazing.

Thanks for the feedback, I have been curious about the X-Seat Air. I currently have a ribbed Dcor seat cover. Is the grip somewhat equivalent to that? Any pics if you have that seat on the bike?

My "build". You'll find pictures of it in the thread!

I have never had a Dcor seat cover but i have had Guts, Blackbird etc and the X-seat beats them. The rubber is amazing, especially in wet conditions.

I'm pulling my hair out trying to find the gytr high seat anywhere in the world.

You've peaked my interest with the X-seat air, is the seat actually higher than stock? Or do you need to have it very hard full of air to make it higher?

Month later no seat so I called and they said it’d be another month since they were waiting on Yamaha, I just cancelled my order, they were cool about it but the whole thing was annoying. At 6’1” this thread hits home for me haha I still need one bad

That’s who I ordered it through as well And was quickly told that it’s actually on backorder. You’d think they would update that particular item to be out of stock.

I got the feeling that shop is just a normal size ktm dealer that fronts like they are a big online retailer with lots of stock they don’t actually have on hand
