Halfway through the race, in the second moto, I had some personal issues that didn’t allow me to do what I wanted to do. Overall, I’m really, really excited, actually. This was from a 5 minutes with Chad Reed interview on racerx. Does anyone know what he is referring to?

Later in the interview he mentions having a problem with his wrist or hand.

Lets just hope it's a one time thing. His results weren't indicative of his ability, but maybe his testing.

Yeah, I noticed the wrist thing I hope he isn't brining an injury into the season that will keep him from being able to last the whole season. I think RV is going to humble Reed this summer.

I doubt he would have announced he was doing the series if he thought he couldn't be a contender.

I'm kind of hoping he left his excuse days when he left L&M. He's the only rider I see contending with RV. Alessi proves he's RV's bitch every time he looks back.

Probably just a little arm pump. Dude has barely practiced or prepared for this series, and he still lined up. He was fast already at GH and I'm sure he'll only get better.

The bottom line is that on paper the weekend does look like he had planned. The only person who knows what he can do this year is Chad. If he is upset with 4th place then I am grateful he is racing this year. I wish all the other factory guys would be pissed off with a 4th overall.

I wouldn't worry about Reed.

If you were watching ... after RV passed him, Reed pulled right back up on RV and stayed close for awhile. Once he lost touch he wisely settled in rather than throw it away. He looked good out there and showed some nice form in the air.

Considering he is so far behind on his setup and testing ( been several years actually ) he was right in the hunt, even with the rotten start in the 1st moto.

I kinda expected RV to win Glen Helen. Chad is behind the 8-Ball in motocross testing...and RV is always strong at Glen Helen. Alessi's home track too- but he did impress me with his speed, especially early on.

It will take a few races to see whats really going on.

Even on RV's best day ever (MXdN 2007) he looked back to see where Cairoli was. Not baggin' on RV at all, he's my pick to take the title, but everyone looks back.

Let's not forget Chad hasn't ridden that bike hardly at all outdoors. Not bad for a guy who just stepped off a plane(basically) and hasn't ridden outdoors in a while.

A few of you said it, but he isnt going to say anything, he is tired of being called a whiner so he is just going to deal with it.

Chad did great for a guy who got onto an airplane the sunday after Vegas and was vacationing for 14 days then came back in time to get 2 days of testing in.
