This Coronavirus thing has the potential to impact everything in the world, including Motocross and Supercross dominance. If the riders are unable to compete for months (years?) we might see a changing of the guard to some extent. A prolonged break could be great for some riders who need to heal from chronic injury or just get more seat time, and it could be bad for some riders who are on a roll and killing it with confidence. What are some of the crazy potential outcomes? Here are some fictitious scenarios:

-Eli Tomac, Ken Roczen and Cooper Webb return to Supercross in January of 2021 to find that they are all racing for 2nd place. Adam Cianciarulo has worked on his speed and racecraft and starts the season out with 7 dominating, soul-crushing wins in a row. He is not only an average of 2 seconds per lap faster at all times, but his fitness is on point, as are his starts. Suddenly, he has all the momentum and is in everyone's head.

-Jeffrey Herlings practices at a private home SX track from now until Christmas. He comes to America to race the first few Supercrosses and wins at Phoenix after a podium at A1. He podiums a few more times and realizes he has a shot at the title, so KTM sends Marvin Musquin to the GPs in his place.

-The 2020 Outdoor Nationals are cancelled, so 2021 is the first time we see anyone in outdoor motocross for nearly two years. Jason Anderson comes into the fray with unbelievable fitness and wears Tomac down at the end of every moto, passing him for the win.

Let's hear some more crazy ideas....

- all the manufacturers suddenly stop making 4 strokes and go back to only 2 strokes. CA lifts ALL emissions. Ronnie Mac wins 10 SX and MX titles in a row on his 97 CR250 without ever doing a rebuild or new parts.

You're what if's are as stupid as this ^^^^

Sad Ouch. Well, I'd argue mine are not quite as far-fetched, but that's the point... not realistic but possible in a twisted, new world.

Let's hear some more!

No racing until summer 22, Tomac, Musquin, Roczen all retire, Jmart gets a Honda 450 factory ride, Webb takes up professional surfing, Brayton become a professional quad racer beating all of Hammy's lap time records proving all quad racers are failed motocrossers. Cr22 decides to do 1 more season and wins the MX championship.

Everyone comes out on a Rick Melon replica, racing in Walmart parking lots, as no tracks or factories exist any longer.

I don't mind the what if threads, but as soon as I saw "Herlings practicing SX, coming to America" I knew this one was going off the rails.

What if the virus is just a big scam to crush the world economy so they had an excuse to take away our rights in the name of safety, making us more dependent upon the government and brings in a one world government.

Hmmm.
