maybe...he looked good yesterday and deserved the win although alessi had fastest laptimes both motos yesterday.

alessi had the win, and he didn't fade due to conditioning but rather mental fatigue imho. i think the pressure got to him after getting a huge lead like that. gapping isn't always the best way to win sometimes. mike had the speed and the fitness, now he needs to ride and forgetabout the pressure that he puts on himself.

As long as Stewart is sitting at home RV might be the best guy on the track. Put Stewart in that race yesterday and RV is just another rider just like he was in SX.

Yeah right, Alessi had the win. Then Villopoto hunted him down and blew by him. Because the win is for the man who deserves it. And Since Villopoto was the best man on the track. He won. "Alessi nothing but self proclaimed hype". Poto = the real deal.

Villo certainly has the RC killer instinct, but I don't think he'll be able to get anywhere near RC's record for wins because he's a little more willing to take second when he needs to. The year he and Townley fought it out, he got second in a lot of second motos and Townley took the overalls.

But Villo is going to dominate outdoors, I think, and I frankly think Villo is a better SX rider than RC was.

I don't know Bob. Mike got bitch slapped pretty hard yesterday. losing a 16 second lead with 8 min and 2 laps is not good no matter how its spun. This upcoming week is the biggest race of Mikes career. If he holeshots and gets run down again by RV he is in deep deep trouble.

Whaddya call a baby goat ? A "kid".?

Well, let us not call the kid a baby-goat just yet.

Although, at Budds Crik a couple years back, I was ready to proclaim RV a member of the

goat family....and yesterday, his ride and, his heart - displayed RC-like courage and

determination. Fo sho.

Hey Bobby, MA looked good yesterday, very fast. I think that Ryan, Mike, Chad, and Josh
are all going to be up there all year barring injury. Of course I was rooting for the Nephew
but I don't think he thinks he has it in the bag. Mike might have gotten a little complacent
up front and will learn from last week. All I know is that the racing was awesome and I think we all are going to enjoy a great outdoor season.

Alessi had the fastest lap time in both moto's on lap 1 of both moto's. If he could ride the rest of the race as he did the first lap he would have been on the top step.

that's why rv and rd are the world class american riders now......( with the shadow man for sure...!!!)
the race is for final positions, 30m plus 2 laps of race......
it's not only about curling the cable......they know how to pace themselves, how to save energie, how to wait for the moment when to atack and get in the others heads........in the end they know how to race...not just ride fast until you can.........

I'll agree BobbyM, the kid was looking good, he definitely had those wins in the bag, I thought it was fatigue, I couldn't understand it as good as he looked...

Bob from my vantage point and opinion, It was both, between Ryan doing the triple into the rem section "worth probably .75sec a lap" and then Mike was making little timing errors in a couple areas i could see. On the uphill coming out of the turn He stuck his front tire in, He was getting sideways almost every lap. Was actually badass looking cus that boy didnt shut off a lick. Seriously it really looked like Mikie was just thinking to hard. But with that said Ryan was also charging like a hungry lion after the last steak on earth. Think about it Ryan didnt need to win the moto to win the overall...
