after watching the 2nd moto on TV. He stuck to RV's rear wheel for the 1st 20 minutes of the moto. He hasn't raced a national in 2 years and had 1 1/2 weeks of testing. He might give RV fits this year. I hope he does.

RV don't really do second.

Reed will have to pressure him in to a crash.

Reed will be the clear #2 though.

Reed is hauling......

RV just will risk it all anywhere, anytime, any section, every lap, every track.

Definately. Seemingly a half hearted aproach to the nationals just finding out fairly recently that he was even racing them. He looked damn good.

you have to take into consideration that glen helen is one of the nastiest tracks on the circuit. i imagine the other tracks will be a little better for him with more testing and time.

Also, RV has been practicing at Glen Helen for a while now. He has that track down.

Reed is a great rider, but he's racing for Second Suzuki in this series. I'll bet Reed wins a moto or two, but I'll be really surprised if he challenges for the title.

He looked great and I'm glad he decided to race the series. Should make for another interesting series and hopefully Reed can push MA800 and RV2. Throw JG33 in the mix and we could have ourselves a great summer.

looked like Chad faded big time in the 2nd moto or bike problems????

he'll only get stronger from here on.........

sounds like RV did alot of testing at GH so maybe he won't be quite as dominant next round. ?

Impressed you? Reed lost to RV by 40 plus seconds both moto's. Is that impressive? I think not. Alessi was the fastest Slow-Suki riders out there (as far as results go and that was not even close to RV's 1-1 !

Reed might do better as the series gets going, but 40 plus seconds faster during the moto? I would have to say NOT.

He didn't fade. He conserved. I watched him from trackside, and it looked to me that after proving to himself that he can run with these guys, he then just sat back and thought about the series... there's a lot of racing to go.

Chad has all the speed he needs to beat Villopoto, but Ryan is from the Armstrong/Carmichael school: he's going to push the pace to punish his opponents. This is the year we'll see how fit Chad really is.

dropping his times late in the moto by 10sec plus seems very "conservative".......

10 seconds on a track as big and nasty as the Glen isn't that big a deal. This ain't supercross. Cool At least, it didn't look like a big deal, until Josh Grant started closing a bit.

Villo and Alessi are going to be hard to beat but I still think Reed will win the title -- once he gets his form and conditioning he will be hard to beat.

So you think Villo and Alessi have a bunch more "form and conditioning" that Reed doesn't?? Why's that?

Nothing about this race today would leave you to believe that that Reed has any advantage/speed/superiority over RV, MA or JG. He rode solid, but RV kicked everyone's ass.

Someone mentioned Alessi being caught by RV in the second moto. I don't know what happened, but in one lap, Alessi went from a several second lead to RV about a second back....

Your a Larry, big mouth. I watched the 1st moto and saw every lap time on the computer today . If you want to call someone a Larry, go ahead but lap times don't lie.

not exactly yo. the track was run in reverse and they only open up the big hill climbs during the national.
