Austin cancelled SXSW

...and I bet you that we're going to be VERY lucky to see this season finish normally. SXSW is a huuuuuuuuge deal for Austin, and for them to cancel it over COVID-19 fears is a major decision. Putting 70k fans in a stadium is going to get questioned soon...

hope I'm wrong.

Hey every sx event i go to is full of chinese people.

People need to turn off their tv’s. The news gets paid to scare them and they do a good job of it.

Corona is a 3.4% death fate but is expected to be below 2 once all of the people who get it who do not go to a dr are accounted for. Data is shaky at this point. Flu is 1% but is much more widespread. Mers and sars were much higher as much as 10%.
This is serious but people are freaking out and a mask does nothing to stop it. Just dont pop the bubbles in your packages from china. Its just how the world works now do to access to information. Everyone panics.

Flu is not 1%. The mortality rate from the seasonal flu averages about 0.1%.
