Splitscreen play was great. Playing and shit talking was a whole different thing. Trying to get the upper hand by slapping the other guy's controller on the floor, lol. Great times.

They're getting closer but I just hope they get rid of this feature completely in the future.
Supercross 2 was pretty atrocious, and unfortunately Supercross 3 feels similar with minor improvements. The in air physics have this weird sideways movement to them, the turning is slightly improved among other things, but nothing to be super stoked on. The way the camera jolts when you land and take off the lip is tacky and it makes me nauseous. Supercross 1 is still their best release, they definitely should have built off of that.
Also, make the tuff blocks how they are in sim.
+2 preload (I run +3 like the ability to lean more)
+2 spring
-1 compression
-1 rebound
Gear settings is to your liking. I run short unless I'm at Houston, Arlington or Daytona, places with decent straights and big swooping berms, then it's long.
Anyone else get the feeling the official bikes are better or just mind games?
2 things that are killing it for me:
1. hitting the rhythms is HARD. The jumps are so pointed that it's hard to downside them. The game also doens't like letting you go for a triple...it wants that double or else it's almost impossible.
2. if you screw up the rhythm, you can't roll the next jump and get going. you just smack into the face of all the jumps through the whole section.
More animations, more inside ruts/options, get rid of bog after using brakes, more low end power, tone down the weather (it doesn’t rain all the time! Ok maybe Seattle should be 1 out of 5 races, but the rest should be double that).
The career mode is pointless considering you race the same season over and over again. Unless they can add dynamically created seasons after the current one, there’s no point, just have championship mode.
I’d love a career mode where you could start out as amateur, like real life race the amateur sx futures. Earn your license race for a team or sponsors (currently in game) but then progress to more seasons that keep track of your stats and career. Even if they built the seasons to rotate tracks and the tracks could rotate sections (whoop section replaces triple, dragons back replaces whoops, etc.) so no season would be the same. Simply label them season 2,3,4... after the first official season. Then you can race as many seasons (up to 20) as desired earning rewards and going for win records to put you character above JM, RC, JS, RD, etc. in the record books.
It would also be nice to have a injury option and mechanical option in career. The more you crash the higher your chances of a DNF.
As someone above me said, it is frustrating that when you mess up one thing in a rhythm you can’t just roll and double to get yourself back on track. You just smack into the face of each jump the whole way through. Also on triples if you don’t have enough speed to make it, it’s better to case way short than it is to double. Much faster from what I’ve noticed. Again something I wish wasn’t the case
It seems like rider weight actually matters in this game unlike the others. Which again is great. It should. Makes it hard to get through sections though because I’m so used to 1 and 2. MES 1 also felt like a faster pace which I liked. This one feels like you’re in slow motion a lot of the time. They need to bring back the preload they had in MX Unleashed. A little pop to get over some jumps when needed.
AI seems to be really good which is great. Still looking for that first win.
As far as practice times go, does anyone else feel like they’re a bit unrealistic? The top guys are setting times way faster than me and I’ll stay right with them for several laps in practice. Seems silly to me.
Overall I love it and I’m looking forward to continually improving. If anyone has any tips they’ve noticed feel free to let me know.
Pit Row
TxGuy, Are you downshifting back to 1st when you lose your rhythm and then gassing it down the backside and off the next jump? I have found that in most cases you can at least double and then get back to tripling etc.
Almost got SPX 2020 SX R5 OAKLAND done for both XBOX ONE and PS4
