Can you play 2 players on this for PS4? It sure would be awesome to be able to race against my boy like the good old days. I'm not a gamer by any stretch but I was absolutely shocked when I bought a PS4 and monster energy supercross and found out that we cant pop it on two player and race each other. What the fuck is up with that nonsense

Split screen multiplayer is rare and a thing of the past. I personally miss it.

And to answer your question, no you can't.
Damn, that sucks. No point in me buying it then. When I was a kid me and my buddies would skip school and play ATV offroad fury in my basement. Multi player all day long. I guess those days are gone. Crazy times. Kids cant even sit next to each other and do some racing anymore. Good thing for Mario cart I guess.

Mario Kart was awesome. Nowadays kids sit in the same room and just text one another. It's weird.

Splitscreen play was great. Playing and shit talking was a whole different thing. Trying to get the upper hand by slapping the other guy's controller on the floor, lol. Great times.

Mario Kart is super addicting. I bought a Switch just to play Mario Kart pretty much. Me and the fiance play split screen multiplayer online all night some days. Grew up on Super MK and MK64.

Okay I finally spoke with my wallet. Just did my boot camp race and it was a mudder. This happen to anyone else? Took me awhile to get the hang of things and after being way back I clawed my way up to 9th. I think I’m really gonna like this one. I love how the back brake actually matters. You can slide it around and do some great things.

Does anyone else feel like the game alters the gravity at times to force certain lines? I don’t know how else to explain it but that’s what it feels like. I’ve noticed it on all the Milestone games.

It's called scripting. It's in every video game or there, and one of the biggest complaints in the competitive scene. Basically "keeps things exciting for replayability" I've def noticed it, sometimes will be in 1st crash on last lap, end up 12th and be about to jump sections I clearly did not have enough momentum or speed to clear.

Shit not in All Out, but many of yal think I am being a troll, rather than being objective. Go watch Tylan's videos, he points it out all the time. In saying that, it does not seem to do it as much as it did in previous Milestone games. It appears you have to avoid landing to flat or facing the next takeoff at all cost. As long as everyone is having funSmile
Glad I'm not crazy. But that alone ruins the game for me. Having unpredictable gravity is quite possibly the worst feature in a game that is dependent on jumping and timing.

They're getting closer but I just hope they get rid of this feature completely in the future.

I’m already noticing once you get near the tough blocks it’s game over. If you go off the track you can’t get back on and you can’t steer in the air. Which is great. I like it. Just gonna take a lot of getting used to. Much better than 2.

Finally cracked and bought this. From the reviews and the videos it seemed like it was going to be worth $60 finally.

Supercross 2 was pretty atrocious, and unfortunately Supercross 3 feels similar with minor improvements. The in air physics have this weird sideways movement to them, the turning is slightly improved among other things, but nothing to be super stoked on. The way the camera jolts when you land and take off the lip is tacky and it makes me nauseous. Supercross 1 is still their best release, they definitely should have built off of that.

Also, make the tuff blocks how they are in sim.

SX3 is in a different league to SX1. I think your lack of play time possibly with the wrong settings is clouding your judgement. There's a lot of people loving this game when they get into it...

Does anyone have any set up tips for a fully mod 450?
Alrighty so you will get at of people saying that -5 on all settings is the best. I personally run this dude named itsmcchickens settings has a top 5 record or better on all tracks ps4.

+2 preload (I run +3 like the ability to lean more)
+2 spring
-1 compression
-1 rebound

Gear settings is to your liking. I run short unless I'm at Houston, Arlington or Daytona, places with decent straights and big swooping berms, then it's long.

I have been riding a Yamaha 450 and always feel if I ride as Plessenger that the bike is way better than my custom modded bike

Anyone else get the feeling the official bikes are better or just mind games?

i'm 3 hours in with it. Visually, it kicks ass.

2 things that are killing it for me:
1. hitting the rhythms is HARD. The jumps are so pointed that it's hard to downside them. The game also doens't like letting you go for a triple...it wants that double or else it's almost impossible.
2. if you screw up the rhythm, you can't roll the next jump and get going. you just smack into the face of all the jumps through the whole section.

Yeah, this really f**ks me off. You case one jump in a section, and you loose like 15 seconds cos you have to roll everything until the next corner

I'm actually on the opposite end of that spectrum. I feel like the team bikes aren't as fast or agile as a fully built one , you put together.

Overall, MES3 is the best yet. Great game. The physics are coming around. They need to build and improve from here.

More animations, more inside ruts/options, get rid of bog after using brakes, more low end power, tone down the weather (it doesn’t rain all the time! Ok maybe Seattle should be 1 out of 5 races, but the rest should be double that).

The career mode is pointless considering you race the same season over and over again. Unless they can add dynamically created seasons after the current one, there’s no point, just have championship mode.

I’d love a career mode where you could start out as amateur, like real life race the amateur sx futures. Earn your license race for a team or sponsors (currently in game) but then progress to more seasons that keep track of your stats and career. Even if they built the seasons to rotate tracks and the tracks could rotate sections (whoop section replaces triple, dragons back replaces whoops, etc.) so no season would be the same. Simply label them season 2,3,4... after the first official season. Then you can race as many seasons (up to 20) as desired earning rewards and going for win records to put you character above JM, RC, JS, RD, etc. in the record books.

It would also be nice to have a injury option and mechanical option in career. The more you crash the higher your chances of a DNF.

This would make the game from good to great.

Jumped right in at career mode. Finishes so far are 10, 8, 3. Both outdoor races were mudders. Anyone else having this or is it just bad luck? Mudders are tough. Which is fine. That’s realistic. Just unfortunate I guess.

As someone above me said, it is frustrating that when you mess up one thing in a rhythm you can’t just roll and double to get yourself back on track. You just smack into the face of each jump the whole way through. Also on triples if you don’t have enough speed to make it, it’s better to case way short than it is to double. Much faster from what I’ve noticed. Again something I wish wasn’t the case

It seems like rider weight actually matters in this game unlike the others. Which again is great. It should. Makes it hard to get through sections though because I’m so used to 1 and 2. MES 1 also felt like a faster pace which I liked. This one feels like you’re in slow motion a lot of the time. They need to bring back the preload they had in MX Unleashed. A little pop to get over some jumps when needed.

AI seems to be really good which is great. Still looking for that first win.

As far as practice times go, does anyone else feel like they’re a bit unrealistic? The top guys are setting times way faster than me and I’ll stay right with them for several laps in practice. Seems silly to me.

Overall I love it and I’m looking forward to continually improving. If anyone has any tips they’ve noticed feel free to let me know.

I don't know how you play but you can easily double in after casing something with the two preloads system.

Before the third main of a triple crown, Ralph said “this is the final race of the monster energy cup”. Is that a mistake in the game or milestone being realistic? Legit question

even after the updates on xbox I still get an incorrect placing at the end of a race. I get first place but then knocks me down to 6th.

Maybe this is part of the random speed boost/jump force that people experience (myself included) with the inconsistency of jumps. Left stick also works as a preload.. so I think there’s Seat bounce, preload, then double preload. The left stick is what makes the 5 jump combos on some tracks possible lol

Look at the bottom of the screen. There will be a legend that tells you what buttons does what. For instance on PS4 it's the L3 button. Which is left analog stick pressed in.

You can preload with the right stick and also with both sticks backward. The "random boost" appears when you are compressing the rear suspension like it did in MX vs ATV Untamed haha

TxGuy, Are you downshifting back to 1st when you lose your rhythm and then gassing it down the backside and off the next jump? I have found that in most cases you can at least double and then get back to tripling etc.

Almost got SPX 2020 SX R5 OAKLAND done for both XBOX ONE and PS4
