Any idea how many hours you got into it?
That is really cool.

I would estimate somewhere around 5-6 hrs total over a span of almost 2 years though. It’s definitely a “side project” I still want to do more layerings of the bronze and gold though. Did not really plan any of it out. After this one is finished I’ll get a Fox V2 or V3 and actually have a plan to get it done. I’ll shoot for a week

Very cool. Do you like the helmet itself? I need to replace my 5yo Shoei soon and haven't made up my mind what I want yet.

That helmet is very comfy and lightweight. A little noisy just because of all the vents. I usually wear an adult small in shoei and Arai. Had to go up to a Medium in Astars and get the thicker cheek pads. I was wearing shoei in the past but most recently Arai. I know Arai usually catches a ton of flack from people in this forum, but until you own one, it’s hard to understand. I’d imagine comparing it to all these other new tech helmets being like your new age fancy smart watches but the Arai is a Rolex submariner.

Sounds good. I've had an Arai 2 helmets ago, and had no complaints. I have a Shoei VFX-W now and also have no complaints. But I've read that people have had problems with vents coming off the new Arai's and the liner not being so great in the new Shoei.

Tried to pm you. I couldn't figure it out from my phone.

Got a black bell coming for the boy, my niece is going to use some fancy paint markers to make a design on it.
Any input on if sanding is needed to prep or just have her go to town on it. Then dust a clear a few times then full clear.
