I waited a few months before I broke it down which was a mistake as you can see lol... heads up the forks are bad low on fluid

Thanks for the heads up. Swapped springs today and checked oil height as well. Dumped 275cc out of each fork. Crazy low. You have to figure 20-30cc residual either still on fork. So maybe 300 total. Put proper fill back in.

Are you using a pressure washer or giving it a hose down? I just use the hose but wondering if i should pull mine apart and inspectigate.

Mine did the same thing. Going on my 3rd set. I think the issue is there is no seal under the preload adjuster nut

Ah. Ok. Going to ride tomorrow. Probably tear it down next week for piece of mind. Have 32 trouble free hours on mine so far. Prolly wont hurt to juice em up again anyways. Ill post a pic of what i find. Cheers.

Just finished up my 2020. It hasn't even touched dirt yet as I'm still healing up from two shattered ankles, hence the Jackass logo on the airbox haha. I went with the holographic finish from D'Cor Visuals and it looks sweet, even better in person.



What exhaust is that? I’m not sure which one to go with. It’s between pro circuit , rocket and yosh. Anyone have good info on this?

Someone definitely packed those with either bel-ray or maxima waterproof grease. That’s how they should come!!

Strange. Mine were locking up from rust 10 hrs after I greased mine. Its not from a lack of grease jt is definitely from water intrusion and I can see the grease/rust slurry marks running down the back of my fender after a wash. I'm taking a closer look at the seal situation this winter.

I pressure wash but not up that high... Like jbulz said, I don't think it seals water out... My bars was frozen stuck the uppers were fine tho... my linkages had a little grease but the swingarm pivot was almost dry... Highly recommended greasing the bike

I know its not feasible for everyone. However im surprised people dont break down their bikes when new to grease and torque everything. Every new bike i get no matter the manufacture, always have bolts out of torque, low oil and or no grease on anything. Also its a good time to tear apart the suspension and set it up. Everything is clean.

Yosh exhaust installed. Bang for buck, best exhaust you can put on the new KX. Impeccable fit and finish. Rubber mounted.



I was surprised by the Yosh I put on my bike. I usually don't expect much out of aftermarket exhaust on 450s anymore, the FMF I put on my 17 did basically nothing. But the yosh gave a noticeable boost from down low to at least the upper mid. I was stoked!

I’m hoping to get it out on its maiden voyage at some point next month. I helped a buddy fit a PC on his and it fit like shit compared to the yoshi and was Almost double the price.

Plus c’mon now.

Does everybody torque their triple clamps bolts/front wheel pinch bolts to the manual spec torque?. Ive been doing it since the bike was brand new. I rode a really hardpack track yesterday. Front end was feeling really rigid. Decided to re tighten my front end by feel (less then the manual specifies). It made the front feel alot better.

Santa brought me the same thing. I had a couple of installation issues but their customer services helped. The first ride was today. I’ve got to figure out the free play adjustment but when I do it out it’s going to be awesome. Definitely much faster in corners.

I torque mine less then the manual spec. I do 20 NM top clamps and 18 NM bottom clamps. Feels pretty good for me there.
