Picked up this simi roached CR to replace my 06 CRF450.

Broke it down and found a massive failure between the air box and boot. Linkage bearings were fully toast but the engine was in good shape.. go figure. 🤷‍♂️

97-99 has a metal cage that seals proper. Ill take pictures of the issue. It was a weak design on the 02+

Im fixing the box. Its not to fit the carb, just wanting to seal it up properly. The carb just needs a good cleaning.

The 02 boot only seals against the outside of the box. There is no cage to sandwich around the seal so it just flexes and leaves a gap.

Whats a good front brake upgrade. Are there any newer stock take offs that fit the caliper mounts?
