So I thought theses were supposed to be very reliable bikes? But from what I’m reading on another site! People are having problems, fouling plugs! Won’t start! Air filter issues!
So I’m wondering what’s the real deal here?
Are they real problem’s with this bike?

15 hours on mine, fouled plug. New plug anand bike wouldn't start.Upon further inspection, so much carbon build up on the valves that the exhaust valves were stuck wide open. Dont know if itll be covered under warranty and I might be screwed out of money on my 3 month old bike and I did nothing wrong. I love Yamaha but I think I got the wrong bike.

sounds like the mapping is wrong or you are running shit fuel if you have a crazy amount of carbon build up. Put it back to stock mapping and run some race fuel through it. These new 250f’s turn 13k rpm, to make that power.. you have to make sure your fuel and mapping are on point.

Buddy of mine have owned 2 19 250s already and is currently on his 3rd, he rides 45h then sells the bikes completely stock. No problem for him so far except a bad battery. Oil/filter change every 2h. Pro rider.

No mechanical issues with ours. Intakes were .005 and .006 both exhausts were .008 at 22 hours.
Changed the piston, ring and timing chain just because. IMO the wiring harness is the biggest thing to look at. Used for MX 100% of its life.
They got rid of the oil holes in the small end of the rod which is a good thing.

93 pump and stock linear map. I've heard the stock maps are a little too rich, so I'm going to use a leaner map when my bike is back from the shop. Also gonna mix T4 with 93 pump instead of 93 straight. I really dont know what happened or how I could have gummed up valves already, possibly a bad batch of fuel or something. I have no clue.

I heard from another forum this is caused by the rings not being properly installed. The gaps are supposed to be out of order but I guess a good batch of them had gaps that were lined up. If your digging into the top end yourself I’d recommend putting in a stronger aftermarket timing chain as apparently those are weak from the factory as well and have Fernandes on some people’s bikes as always the first year or two of a newly redesigned bikes will have some common issue such as the 2019 250f

Few local guys have had issues with the harness. The bike wouldn't start after washing it. I cant remember what the solution was.
