I seen somewhere a pic of Benny bloss, on a Yamaha for 2020. But did not say what team, or on his own. I forgot where I seen it or I would’ve shared it. Can anyone elaborate. Thanks in advance

Thanks, I’m not sure, good for him, if it’s true. I like the guy, was hoping he’d get a ride.

It’s on his Instagram. Not sure of the team, though.
Ya I think that’s where it was, I was at work, and didn’t have time to get all the details.

What is the status of Rock River for 2020? We know Christina Denney is leaving as manager, but is the team continuing with two 250 riders and a 450 rider??

Cycle Trader is no longer a sponsor of the team. Sounds like it'll be a 1 rider program with Bloss.

Benny back to Rock River. It's a shame they lost their title sponsor.

Benny looked good on the Yamaha yesterday on Reynard's new SX track. He said he was liking the bike. He looked comfortable and smooth.

I know its a different generation of YZ450, but taller/bigger riders like Millsaps have done well on that bike.

I believe Chiz is sorta paying his way though, Rock River’s budget is way down. I don’t think everything will be covered and Chiz has a couple backers to make it happen for him. If another were to have that spot, they would likely need to take care of somethings themself too.

Didn't he make every main but A2 Triple Crown last year? Yeah he should for sure not have a ride.

Look at the guys around him in points. Everyone loves A-Ray, but Chiz was better last year. Same with Ben Lamay everyone here was screaming just last week that Lamay deserves a ride for 2020. If those guys deserve some form of ride and are "OK" to be out there then so does Chiz. Is he spectacular, no, he's guy who grinds it out week in and week out but he's still one of the 20 best SX riders in the world.

If I’m there I most definitely won’t be “paying” to ride there. Never have and never will. If a personal sponsor helps cover a personal cost if mine then sure that may happen but that’s not the same as “paying” for a ride. To me paying for a ride means everything is provided from the team AND you still pay a fee to be a part of that team. Some riders do that but I am not. Just want to clarify that because what you said comes off as I’m paying the team to be there.

Apologizes Kyle, I didn’t mean it to come across as paying for a ride. I meant it more as the rider might have to cover some incidentals like entries or some travel budget. Which considering your results I hope the team funding is there so you’re not having to take on anything.

What would your reasoning be for this? The dude has spent half his career either paying for it himself or on low budget teams. And yet, hes still better than all of vitals "golden boys" ( Ray, 722, John Short etc). The guy has made 99.5% of every main hes lined up for (probably second most starts behind Reed still actively racing). The only main he missed last year was when he knocked himself silly at a triple crown. Sure hes probably not going to go get a top 5 any more, but hes gonna at least put the bike in the main. And maybe on a good day, he will put it in the top 10. But yes, he doesnt deserve a ride.....

The idiots of this sport are part of the reason it's held back. In most all othere sports world wide somone making the list of top 50 are considered badasses and making great livings our sport we tell them they need to find a new job.

I didn’t know there was a time limit. 😂
Exactly this guy works his ass off and has earned his place in this sport. Should Chiz just quit because you FUKN squids day so ? No !! He’s been a great ambassador to this sport and is the definition of a rider working hard to do what he loves and provide for his family.

Yeah man I know what you meant. I was just thinking other people may not get that concept the same way we might. So not trying to be an ass about it haha. Just wanted people to get that.

Thanks for the kind words from everyone (except a couple haha). But yeah I just love racing still and as long as it makes financial sense and I enjoy what I do then I figure why not keep doing it. I love the sport in general and I’m just as much of a fan as you guys are. The business side of it isn’t the best part for sure but riding and racing make up for that most of the time.

I tend to agree with both sides of this one.

I think that mentality comes from the fact that barely 50 people can even make a decent living in our sport.

Hard to argue with Chiz making every main but one last year though, he's probably a more solid pick for that team than any other option they had and I for one will enjoy seeing another Yamaha in the Main every week because we all know....Chiz gonna Chiz....Every. Damn. Week.
