What a cool race the Suzuki RM Cup. Was based on the amount of contingency you earned. The top 40 in each class across the country got the invite. A whole starting line all RM’s every class. I got to go twice in the 80cc12-13 class.1996 Branson Missouri 1997 Cooperland Oklahoma. Brandon Jesseman 96 and I think Gene Stull or Shane Bess won my class in 97. If by chance anyone has any pics or vid from those races be really cool to see now

I was there with Donald Upton. He was barreling TP in the 250s until he lost his seat. After his seat fell off the guy that was wrenching on his bike that weekend got an ass chewing. After that race I took over spinning the wrenches for him.😂

parked next to upton at steel city. his guy put on new tires before motos. flat while running top 10

This comes up every few years and I always have to give my buddy Dan Moore crap....he gets blasted by Jiri Dostal in the 125 class.

Suzuki really had it going on in the 90s. Rode nothing but RMs from 92 -99. The contingency and track support was awesome. The Good Scholar program helped pay for some trips to Europe for me and I remember racing the first RM Cup in Carson City in ‘95.
