So I have a friend over tonight, and I'm showing them some supercross clips. They're a casual fan. I go to show them 2014 Toronto, and it's nowhere to be found on YouTube. I get it, FELD owns the rights to it. BUT, it's complete bullshit that there's absolutely no way to watch these old races. I know, this has been brought up before. But it pisses me off. I pay the $90 a year or whatever to watch supercross and Moto on demand through NBC Gold. Why the fuck is the access to old races limited, and they're making it a point to have them taken down on YouTube? You want to take them down on YouTube because you own the rights, cool. I get that. BUT THEN MAKE IT AVAILABLE FOR THE ONES WHO PAY FOR GOLD. How is that helping the sport, having limited access to the historic races?

Rant over. Sorry. This has me fired up again.

Be sure to let us know how the Whiskey and beers went down with the race.

I removed my initial post as it appears to be sensitive info on a public forum.

So....you had an eyeball on the location and I hope you were sober enough to remember it for future.

Just watched the whole race. Stewart raped that track on his RMZ. Awesome thanks for bringing it up again. Appreciated.

I miss Diana so fucking much

Commentary is pretty crap

Barcia was much better on the Honda

A healthy rv would’ve made for an even better night

RV really is one of the all time greats looking back

They should have archived races on the paid platform it’s not that hard.
But in fairness if you do a google search you’ll find a couple sites you can watch previous races on, I won’t mention them in this post because most fans know and if they sniff out more websites it gives them fresher targets.

Totally valid rant though.

A lot stuff has started to disappear from YT the last year. Stuff you'd never think would disappear like old school counter-strike stuff from early 2000s

Why doesn't Feld have all these old races on their own YouTube channel and make monetization money from the replays?

I would assume that FELD owns the Rights after the transaction took place.

That would make too much sense. Why would we want fans to watch old races? Grow the sport, nah, no thanks.

To be fair, it's unlikely the old races that were broadcast on Fox sports will ever show up on the NBC GOLD app for obvious reasons.

That said, it's unbelievable the pass feld gets for doing jack shit to foster an environment where supercross can grow in terms of fans and teams.

Good question! That having been said, most races are still out there with a little looking.
Hard truth is that having old races available is not going to "grow the sport".
It will make us existing fans happy, but it ain't gonna cause a landslide of new fans.

You guys crack me up.

Shocked are ya?

No matter how much things seem change, they really stay the same. Y'all thought you'd have free access to everything forever? Lolz.

First one's always free suckers.
