2 out of three in the top 10. Looks like Tarah crashed on lap 1. In the top 5 in lap times...too bad, hope she's OK.

That's really beat for poor TG with the the WMA getting some great exposure this summer.
Glen Helen is only 13 days away.

Lair apparently is the fastest / strongest out there. Especially on Sunday s she was pretty pissed off having been disqualified from the first heat on saturday for getting external help. I was watching on sunday before the MX2 and Lancelot has very nice style very smooth and likes to throw little whips here and there. Amazing to see young Fiolek on the podium. Those girls look like they are really enjoying it !

You're right, they must really be haulin in their home series, on their regular tracks, on their normal time frames, eating their regular food and racing their everyday works bikes. Impressive.

Speaking about respect for the riders....that goes both ways....everytime Ashley goes over to Europe I have to read about how she did pretty good but those Euros are really flyin....I'm just sayin, lets give credit where credit is due. They have all their comforts of home and bike and Ashley has none. 2nd overall ? Pretty frickin amazing if you ask me (I know you're weren't askin). As for Natalie..she already has seen Ashley from the back.

comforts of home?? it's not like livia and stephanie roll out of they mansion on the hill straight through the gates of the track.... France isn't Portugal, or Bulgaria..... they have to stay in hotels as well, they have to eat Portuguese food, not French food

Europe ISN'T one country... all these Euros have to deal with the exact stuff that Ashley has to deal with. Which is why i brought up natalie kane, she is from ireland.... therefore she has to cross the irish sea and english channel in order to reach the continent, bulgaria is 3hrs different from ireland and the food is NOWHERE NEAR the same as irish food

of course she probably has a team around her that sorts out food, lodgings, transport etc... just like ashley does

i fully support ashley, i think what she did last year and this, is brilliant.... she had the guts to go to these events unlike a lot of americans who are afraid of venturing outside their natural comfort-zone... she wasn't afraid. same with zach. however, they can't use this "not the same food" argument all the time (not that the actual rider's do...)

besides, you don't hear pourcel mentioning food, timezones, transport..... because these riders are used to travel and having the team around them provide the support they need

I guess you didnt read the rest of my post. "Comforts of home and BIKE..." Ashley appreciates what she gets from L&S but its not "her" bike. She would like the opportunity to race those girls on more even terms, but does the best she can with what's available. She flys over there 2 days before the race and gets it on. Also, no, Ashley and her parents do all of the logistics for her travels to Europe. The food is just one of the issues, luckily Ashley loves to eat all kinds of food, and she got pizza in Portugal, but still, it's a major change in the comfort zone for a racer. Pourcel has been here for how long?? Nevermind. Just give the girl her factory bike and lets get it on.

What's the deal with the food seriously? I don't get it especially if you travel just for a few days. I mean you can buy pasta or rice or potatoe everywhere fruits and water. If you can't cook then you are more than likely to find a Italian restaurant with pasta and pizza. Most places will serve you a steak. And if you really homesick a burger isn't hard to find.

Now Ashley's bike is probably far from its factory honda and I think everyone in Europe gives her real credit especially given her young age. She is an amazing rider and we love to see her and the other US riders in the GP. I hope livia and steffi go to the US to have taste of it. But the fact is that Ashley has been beaten a few times by those girls and they could probably go for the US title as well. There's nothing wrong with being beaten by a euro!

are any of the top GP women racers planning on doing X Games? Is there a scheduling conflict with a GP race or anything?

That's Brilliant!! Experience talkin? Excuses??? Ashley is the last one to make excuses. She would just like a chance to race them on more equal grounds. It's her choice to go there and race the best in the world on inferior equipment, nobody makes her. Not Honda, not RedBull, not her parents, nobody but her. If she chooses to do that, why would she make excuses? There is nothing wrong with being beaten by a Euro, but when they come what will they be riding? Will they come 2 days before the race? It would be great seeing them all on the track on equal footing wouldn't it?

Eric P brought Livia (double name drop) by the house to ride when she was here. Then my son Chris and Livia rode at Bithlo. Not only was she the fastest girl I've seen there, she has a huge whip. She put him to shame in the whip department.
