There didn’t appear to be any issue to me, he kept his goggles on the entire moto and they looked okay. I’m just going off how he looked on the bike, he looked terrible in all honesty, and the fact that he was a minute and a half down in a 20 minute race would kinda prove that. His fastest lap was 7 seconds off what Jonass and Strijbos managed

Will have to wait to see what tomorrow brings, but honestly I thought that ZO was the most fit of our riders and would bring the best results down the stretch. In saying that I realize that if he cannot keep his pace close to the leaders then that idea is out the window.

Team call. He could get the 3rd gate, he could get the 23rd. He might get a moto of each.

Given that the 250 rider can win or lose you the event, most teams tend to put the rider on the 250 up the inside. So, I wouldn't be surprised to see Cooper take the 3rd gate each moto tomorrow.
This is all assuming that the US knows inside gates exist.

😂 Good one. I heard the discussion about that gatepick snafu at last year’s MXoN

Thanks for the updates guys. Couldn't be happier to see the Frog's streak in serious jeopardy, the rest looks like a crapshoot so should make for a great race. Can't Wait for the best race of the year!

I thought there was something missing today and just realised what it was.

Jeff didn't explain how roll offs work and Paul didn't say ''that's not 3.6 seconds anymore''.

But there's always tomorrow I suppose.

All this talk has me craving a big plate of frites and mayo along with a Chimay to wash it down. See y’all tomorrow.

They've got a shot at 2nd tomorrow!

With some luck, they could win!
Yeah they would definitely need some luck to win. I don’t think they can but would be nice to see. Mainly wanna see if anyone can race with herlings.

To be honest I didn’t really know what to expect of him. Because on the one hand he was never really that good in the sand when he raced in GP’s. But I also understand that he has improved out of sight since then. It could be a setup issue or something, he just looked very uncomfortable both in practice and in the qualifying race

I'm high on USA. Cooper is probably the best 250 rider that USA has had since RV and Zach at Matterly and that can get the team really far if Jason and Zach puts in solid rides around 5th.

Netherlands are still the favorite since both Herlings and Coldenhoff got sub par results today (Vlaanderen "maxed" out in my opinion, 2nd is the best he'll get in the 250 class) and it can only be better tomorrow.

Zacho's not happy. Hope we see the Vegas SX Wacho Zacho come out tomorrow.

"Great job by @justincooper_32 and @elhombre21 to get Team USA qualified 3rd for tomorrow’s race! As for me, it was ugly. After a dismal start and some moving forward I fell back to finish 8th and rode the worst I have in a while. I will make the necessary adjustments tonight and make it happen tomorrow. Thanks for your support of @ama_teamusamxon and all the people involved. 📸 @michaelantonovich"

Vlaanderen could still win MX2. If we have exactly the same weather and track conditions tomorrow then I agree that it looks very good for him to take MX2. But by the time the races come around, it’s likely the track will be nothing like what we have seen today. The rain could change everything

Herlings kwam vanaf 28e plek en Glenn hoefde alleen maar derde plek te behouden voor een perfecte startgate

Zach was one of the best closers outdoors this past summer. If he gets his issues sorted out before tomorrow morning, he’ll be fine. He’s a smart kid with enough experience to know what he needs to do for the team.

I went out the back of the grandstand between the siting lap and the start of the MXGP qualifier and saw him standing there. Real shame. Lots of Lithuanian fans here. The other two guys rode quite well, but they were always up against it without AJ

Man that sucks. Especially because it is a sand race and he has probably been looking forward to it for weeks or even months

Yeah good ride for the new kid. Hoping they find the sock in Ferris's airbox or whatever is holding him up there

Hasn't been a great year at all for Dean
Which begs the question. Why is he even on the team

Very sad for him and his fans! Here are a lot of people who want to see him riding well. So come back strong Arminas 💪

The other thing is the forecast. From now on it will be rain alle day long for tomorrow...
The track today was perfekt... I think the track designer make a good job.

Can't wait for tomorrow 👍
