Got it a little closer the other day. Need to wait for the shock and order the new axles and bolts for the rear.

Nope I thought about it but then I read how they wear eventually. Not worth the money to me and I bought an 06 kx250 now 😂

Not sure yet. I don't want to mess with it until this is done. I really don't want to spend a ton either but who knows.

Might as well post this while I can. Lightning in a bottle 😂 250f and 125 pro circuit linkage systems.

Hells yeah man just rip it! Wehen it’s rebuild time then make it fancy and you can rip the 125 for good times.

I'm cleaning the intake on it right now. The cylinder looks perfect. I need to rebuild the suspension though.

Just been waiting on things to show up. My shock shaft should hopefully be here this week so I can get the shock done. Pretty much the only thing I need as well as graphics arriving. I have a new pipe and all the linkage parts to finish it up. Here's my graphics has the correct flo green looks great.

From the picture it looks like the knuckle is different on the 250F and 125 linkages, are the link arms different too?

The bike is pretty much done I rode it last weekend. Need to install new graphics as well as my shock. Ended up buying a lightspeed clutch cover and case saver as well. Will get better pictures when I'm done.

Fantastic build!
did you end up using the kxf dogbone? If you did will it lower the bike in the rear?

Regards

/ Christopher

Thanks, I'm using the correct pc linkage system and that's a kx shock body so everything is the right length. I used my kxf a kit internals but it's the same stuff pretty much.

What are the shock specs? ie year, make and model of parts and where you sourced them, what was done?

It’s a showa a kit body that’s discontinued. You have to find one. It’s not a production shock.

I do belive some year yz125 shocks fits. I remember the xtrig preload adjusters from a yz125 worked for my 03 kx125 when I built that one and I vaguely remember being told the body works to. So you may have options with the kyb kit shock. I also know that mx-tech makes a national shock for it. Might add that to the lucky kit forks I have lined up for my 03 kx125 build this spring.

I assumed that was the case, guessing it was for the kx125/250 of that time, did the orginal shaft from the stock shock get used?

Intersting note about the YZ shock, might be something there. I found a guy that converts RM250 shocks for the KX125 but hes in AUS and its as pricey for that as the MX Tech shock.

No, it’s an 18mm shaft from a newer kxf a kit shock.
