Just an FYI, that Trey has moved up the race date to weekend of August 30th (Labor Day weekend) to better avoid scheduling conflicts.

Awesome event, we've been the last two years and we will be there again this year trying for the VET payout.

Might do the same. Except try not to come in last.

Actually, if they went 11-11 they would race for free all day and walk away $115 richer than they were that morning.. What's your point, though?

And almost everyone races both classes. And he's also running the separate night program. And get those holeshot $$. And contingencies, yada, yada. But, yeah, I guess they could stay home and watch TV.

No point, I was just stating a fact! But if it’s per moto 11th would make $115.00

Or you could go chase the national circuit and finish 26-24 and lose about a 1000 dollars in the weekend.

Throw shade on a track actually trying to put on a good event? 🙄 Finish 1st and you won't have to worry about it

The first race I ever won in 1990 in the 80cc 9-11 class at the annual Skeeter Spook Flook just south of Houston. The night before the race they had a pre-race party and the Spin Doctors played at the track.

Sweet! I'll try to channel my inner 20-something, but at damn near 60, I find I need more sleep than I did back then!

Keep us posted Whip. Trey works his ass off for this event and barely sleeps grooming the track into perfection before the motos start. As the day goes on it gets rough AF.

cycle ranch is clearly in rage mode, in a very public/seemingly unprofessional manner at that.

swan's dates have been public all year.

the tx statewide championship was announced afterwards?
https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt6M55iBFTY/

there is hardly a weekend you can put a race in TX without overlap on someone else.

if i had to guess, there are more schedule conflicts to avoid than just that single d20 race, that isn't even in the same ama district as swan?

i raced in TX for a decade, it's the only state i've ever seen where track owners seem to 'stake claim' to a weekend and flip out if anyones schedules overlap for all of eternity...

Remember how hot Florida was at the Gatorback National? Same deal at Swan...well...maybe a few percent less humidity. But it will be sweltering none the less.

It is hot, really hot! But actually not as bad as it has been the past couple weeks.

Current situation:

What a joke, that’s like a track in Northern California being upset that someone in Southern California scheduled a race on the same day! And look at September 15th, a district race in all three districts on the same day! Oh the horrors!

Kyle Cunningham is here, John Short was on track, Grant Harlan, etc.

Those guys are soooo ridiculously good! The chatter in the infield right before the pro's hit the track was "there is no way they can triple triple that pro section this year". Last year they had a loooooong run up to it and we're able to speed check in the triple triple. And it was still real technical then. This year was a much shorter run up to it . . . No problem! They make it look soooo easy!!!!

Short pulled off after he went down. I couldn't tell if it was his body or the bike that was messed up

I just came off the track, ran the "+25 vet challenge" class, 1500 dollar payout. There was like 29 guys. This class runs the pro section, only stipulation was we had to roll the biggest double. I didn't finish dead last because a couple guys fell down, haha. Some gnarly dudes showed up at the gate!

Vann Martin, Scotty Winnerstrom, Sean Hackley, etc
