Trying to pick best gear...I like mine to fit loosely, but everything seems to run small and then next size is the big.. Thoughts

I've always been a shift guy myself, but FXR stuff fits really nice and feels roomy

Not sure if most jerseys are like this but my last two sets have been Shift and Thor, and both jerseys are large but fit like an XL t-shirt would, and both pants are 34 or 36 and have more than enough room in them for knee braces.

We sell FXR at my work and honestly if I was able to pay that much for a set of gear, they'd be the first choice hands down. Lots of people say the only people that wear FXR are the ones that get paid to or get free gear, but thats definitely not the case. Up here, at least. Durable, looks great and fit is nice.

I have current Alpinestars Techstar and Racer gear sets and TLD SE Air all in Large jerseys and size 32 pants. The Techstars fit me the best. The Racer pants are noticeably tighter than the Techstar pants. The TLD SE Air pants are roomier than the AS pants and the jersey feels like it would be an XL in AS.

^ Agreed. The SE line is a little more athletic fit but not tight. The GP line has a little more room than the SE line.

I have numerous sets of fox, shift, and fly gear from all their different lines. For me and my body type (longer legs, short torso, 5’10 190 lbs) Hands down my favorite fit is the fly lite hydrogen and kinetic they literally feel like pajamas and alow so much movement. I don’t love my gear really tight as that’s not flattering to the dad bod but I don’t like baggy 2008 style gear either. Fly pant sizes fit more true to size for me than fox, so in fox I just get the next size up and it’s usually fine but I always go back to my fly sets because they are just so damn comfortable.

I have always preferred looser fitting gear, my body shape aint the best for the new age tight gear.

Just got a set of the new FLY Kenitc gear, quite nice.

However, despite not having the best body shape for tighter gear, I have been running a set of Fly Evolution gear most of this year, love the stuff. The BOA system is the best thing ever for holding pants in position, and while the pants are quite snug, the top have a little room to move, not full body hugging.

Fly is super comfortable. I like my TLD stuff too. Both seem to last pretty well too. I'm 6'2" 220 and the XL jerseys with 36" waists fit perfect. I've had issues with some other brands jerseys being skin tight in XL.
