What if JLaw wins a championship...or is leading the points?
Do we send a high risk guy like him to Italy?
If he was to get ready he'd be an obvious choice for the team but right now, I'd go with RV, Dungey, and Alessi or Short.
I think this will be a non-issue. but should he be one of the best I say we have to send him.
I mean, I understand both sides, but Net poses a good question; is it a reward? or is it about our best?
I don't know, I think we have a lot to choose from that could be winners over there.
All the people saying James shouldn't be be allowed to race MXoN because he's not doing the full outdoor series this year, you have got to be kidding, right? Remember him going 24-0 last year? Pretty sure that qualifies him as not only a motocross rider, but one of the best motocross riders ever, and certainly the best motocross rider on the planet at present time. AS nice of a notion as it is, the point of us competing, and the selection process of who will represent us, isn't really about rewarding riders who are doing well, it's about representing our country the best we can and hopefully once again proving to the world that we are the best. In light of that, why would we NOT send our best guy over there (assuming he wanted to go?)
And for the guy who said we should send J-Law, Chisolm and Hepler over because they are dirty riders. We can all agree that J-Law has LONG history of questionable riding, but Hepler is pretty much as clean as whistle and the whole Chisolm thing has been blown way out of proportion. Kyle made 1, count 'em 1, less-than-ideal decision, in the heat of the moment no-less, and after an otherwise spotless career now he's known as a dirty rider? Oh, Please. I truly believe he was trying to let James pass while at the same time not losing too much ground overall because he was fighting for 11th place overall in the series. I don't believe he tried to take Chad out so much as he didn't exactly try to get out of his way nearly as well as he could of. I'm not saying what he did was the right thing to do, but was it black flag-worthy? I certainly don't think so. Kyle's a really good kid and it's time to let it go and move on.
Can't wait, myself!
hmmmmm...Outdoors!
Mike Alessi is the #2 choice. The start at the MXoN is so crucial, especially since one guy has to take a bad gate pick. Alessi can holeshot from ANYWHERE on the gate and can also rip on an outdoor track.
Villopoto is the #3 choice for the big bike. If JS doesn't go, Villopoto has experience at the big dance and is extremely fast.
Dungey, Stroupe, Canard, Weimer, JLaw, or whoever is strong and healthy in the outdoors on the 250f should be picked. How about KDub or Villopoto on a 250f?!

Do you guys really think Villo and Alessi could be team mates? C'mon.
KTM has a good setup over there, and Zach O should be a shoe in, heck he's already there.
KTM has a good setup over there. We have KTM riders in the USA, but they would not have to ship bikes over as KTM has GP bikes to ride in Europe.
Zach O is already over there, he rides for Yamaha, but they compete in the GP's too, so they may be able to set that up.
I've said before that I'm a Lawrence fan, but at this point, the last thing we need is a team member getting busted in Europe and not even being able to race.
...Talking about this before the nats even start would have me say MA, RV, and either Stroupe or Dungey.
Of course, this perspective might just change a few rounds into the nats. I agree that Stewie would be great to have go, but some Euros still claim that our talent lies within the first place riders. I think Ferry proved a point last year, but if we could say "we didn't even send the best" would make a statement. Had MA not been hurt last year, I would have probably thrown a fit about him not going. I mean the main reason he got hurt was his ability to get the holeshot....had he been in the back, he wouldn't have been used as the downside to a jump by 39 people. I think Alessi has proven, in supercross, that his downfall comes about mid race.
But for this particular bench race, I'll say RV, MA, and either Stroupe or Dungey.
