I'd say this goes at least 5 pages. Internet personalities are great.

You could televise it and get better ratings then Wrestling with Monster trucks and naked women.

First of all why follow anyone for 4 laps?? If you think you can make a pass do it. If the last corner is your only chance to get by then I try to get by as clean as I can...

The guys I race with all know I'm not an ass so if I put a late aggressive move on someone it would not cause any hard feelings..

I would cut the track, give the guy the bird, then roost the flagger after I crossed the finish line. Wouldnt be the first time I was DQ'd.

Interesting that this came up. I raced last Saturday night and in my first moto I made an aggressive pass on someone for the lead (first lap, did not take him out) and the diptard came hunting for me in my pit. Woohoo Made for an exciting night and had me wondering about the second moto as well which I ended up spanking him in too.

Lenny I've been doing this for 35 yrs or so and practice riding with buddies is not the same as racing at all. Not a Flame just a Fact Jack! Smile

Nobody just been doing this a long time enough to know the difference between practice and racing is HUGE!

So you are serious when you say you have never raced and don't "see the difference"?

When did you become a comedian? lol

Just because you race doesn't mean you're good at it, you know it and I know it , anybody who races can tell you that. Does that include sandbagging and protesting?..

I didn't read the whole thread, but hell yeah. Thats racing. If alittle contact wasn't part of the sport we'd be racing on 50 foot wide tracks and have single man staggered starts.

I'd just dive inside make the pass and then go like hell to win the 2nd moto. If he beats me overall then he was faster that day, thats racing. I go home and practice my corners all week for the next race.

True but until you line up behind the gate and the butterfly's and adrenaline are pumping and you go into a tight first corner with 30 other maniacs seeing who will shut off last then you will NEVER KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

Not much more I can say & I'm not gonna go round & round with you but EVERY RACER knows the difference. If you haven't done it than you are really missing the point.
End of story........

That part IS true. Lining up with a full gate,, knowing everyone is gonna be in turn one in a few seconds going full tilt, hoping nobody goes down. Serious butterflies for me!

So true. I was telling my buddy how people on this board think the riding has been aggressive lately and he said "shit, next thing you know they will just do one lap sprints one rider at a time to see who wins by the best lap time".

Yeah, I can see it regressing to that.

I would wait until there is a step down jump along a straight section and jump on his back, hitting him with my front tire.

No offense Lenny, but you dont get nervous when lined up on a full gate? I get nervous as hell every time, and I like to think I have the start thing down.

Doesn't matter where you race does it?, nobody sand bags and nobody protests, last time you posted some pics, you were standing next to your bike, and riding in some land fill...
