1983 Husqvarna WR 250 Rebuild

So this might be a long post.....

A few years ago I decided to get out of riding. I had a 2004 SX 200 that I had all through college and then I decided to stop riding and mess with my Camaro some. I sold the 200 and after a couple months of not having a bike I decided I wanted a vintage bike to restore. I looked through Craigslist and found a 1983 WR 250 Husqvarna.



I worked on the bike for a couple months and then I lost interest and sold it to my dad when I purchased a XC 150 to ride. A few months went buy and I purchased the bike back and finished it.



Now I ride the bike a couple times a year in local GP's or vintage races. I had the bike at a GP a couple weeks ago and was having a pretty good race. Second off the line (dead engine start) against newer bikes. about the third lap in the bike made a loud bang and then started rattling. I pushed the bike back to the truck and pulled the motor apart when I got home. I found a couple pieces of aluminum in the primary gear. I pulled the split the cases and can not find where they came from. I think the clutch might have broke as some point in time and these pieces were just laying in the motor.





So I can't just work on the motor, I ended up tearing the whole bike apart to touch up the frame and clean everything up. Hopefully I have it back together in the next couple weeks.







I have an original Roost Factory Boost Bottle that I want to try to put on the bike, anyone ever put on on a Husky? Where did you put the hose on the motor, I can't find a place to put a tap.
