Any word on that youngster? I've noticed he hasn't been in the line up. I'm assuming he's too sick to race or he's just sitting it out until he's fully recovered from whatever he has. Just curious if anyone knows what's going on with him.

I think Thomas needs to call it quits this year and maybe significant portion of the next year too. If you wanna see him underperforming then go ahead and keep him "racing".
Except maybe a thread on PEDs
He is a racer and a good one! He probably wanted to give it a shot especially since he did very well there in 2017.

I think those are the main reasons but not the only ways to get EBV as I caught it 2 and half months ago and I didn't do any of that. I work from home all the time so I have done like 7 things outside home in the 3 months prior to getting it (normally the virus is caught 2 to 3 weeks i think before really starting). My girlfriend hasn't even caught it either. I was just over pushing a lot at work, missing some sleep, since a few weeks.
The only way i can think of is either "over working", or being contaminated with my hands in a public place (supermarket, library). The fact that my girlfriend didn't get it makes me think it may actually be the first option.
And I also think everybody is different regarding the recovery : personnally it only lasted maximum 1 month, really 10 days where I was quite down with huge fevers (changing the bed every morning!), I could not work and focus, about 10 days where I was still working but at 70% as i was feeling weak, and since I feel normal, whereas it can take a year to others.
If it can helps others, as there is no medication, i have used simple supplements to reinforce the system (i.e. magnesium, multi vitamins, etc), i drunk a bit of home made lemon juice in the morning, and i have eaten almost only natural food that is helping the liver (and avoided food that is heavy on the liver).
Also wondering what happened to Aaron Plessinger. I thought I heard he was gonna race WW.
Hope he does well without the championship pressure
