I absolutely love the spectacle and respect the skill, but they ought to just go all out and rename these races.

The Red Bull Murdercycle Series and the Red Bull Urban Diecycle Series have a certain ring to them Evil

The hard enduro guys are the baddest riders on the planet. That's Manni Lettenbichler (son of hard enduro legend Andreas Lettenbichler) and the Polish Nightmare, Taddy Blazusiak in matching retro Zebra Fox gear. Number 57 is young phenom and inaugural WESS champion Billy Bolt. And yeah, Mario Roman and Wade Young, both on Shercos, took first and second in the Main race. This is the Prologue which is the part of the 3 parts of Toyota Porto Extreme XL Lagares.

And yeah, Erzberg is coming up so look for the old man, the Silent Assassin, Graham Jarvis to be near or on top once again. Man, it's going to be epic. Jarvis, Walker, Blazusiak, Lettenbichler, Young, Roman, Bolt, Gomez, Teasdale...and just for good measure let's add in Cody Webb, Ryan Sipes (damn right) and Laia Sanz! THE most anticipated race of the year for me!

Yep, Erzberg's gonna be good as you mentionned, but the real test for thoses extreme guys is Romaniacs. Those 4 days in the mountains are just crazy, when Erzberg is just a 3 h sprint.

Yeah every time I watch the hard enduros it just looks like torture. I can't say enough how awed I am at their skills.

Plus, the current roster of riders has got to be the greatest competition racing there is. I can't think of any other contest with so many viable contenders.

I often remember back to the 2015 Erzberg with the 4-way tie at the finish. I feel like that alone shows the class of riders these people are. I've got nothing but respect for that kind of behavior.

This reminds me of running around as a kid pretending I was on a dirt bike jumping around various obstacles like it was a moto track.

And pretty much ever name mentioned started out their riding as a kid on one of these. Without a solid base of trials skills it’s almost impossible to be good at Hard Enduro
