Hardcore riders cook the bacon with the chain in the skillet, opens up the pores of the chain for the ultimate lube job, and does smell great as mentioned

I boil bass guitar strings, so anything is possible.

I like pulling out the spray lube & going to town on our chains. There are 2 garages full of street bikes, dirt bikes, go karts & bicycles here, so it's one long therapeutic process to cover them all...

For what it's worth...I have always used chainsaw bar oil on my chains. I get incredible chain and sprocket life.
It does not sling off and make a mess either.

After I became a vegan the bacon routine was a no go, I now use the 3M Industrial teflon dry lube spray. Cost effective and good stuff but no fancy label to impress with

Went into Walmart and asked where I could find some tranny fluid and the kid looked at me funny. It only got worse when I said I wanted to use it as lube. Strange.
