Hey guys new to the thread been searching everywhere for good tunes for 450s. I just tried 5 laps in Crescent lake south and lowered my time by 3 seconds. Do you guys run the same tune on a SX track and national, or do you switch anything up for either or?
Too much work, I personally set up different bikes for different feels. When I am in the mood to roast everyone, I have a bike for that. When I am in the mood for Cadillac'n, I got a bike for that too. And then a whole bunch in between.

I typically gauge bike selection on A) who is my opponent and B: is it free ride

Hope that helps.

If you can would you post your tune for when you wanna roast people lmao. I’ve been messing with my tune and I fould a decent set up for nationals but when I use that on sx it feels really weird and my times aren’t very consistent.

Looks like they're teasing going down the path of remaking some tracks of past MX vs atv games. Whats the consensus on that idea? I don't think it's a bad idea. Only if the rhythms, say if it's a supercross track, are the same as what you could do before if they gave us some Unleashed tracks. It would be super hard to do though. I just remember them re releasing the stewart compound the rhythms weren't set up near the same. Maybe it's just my OCD

It may be hard to sense the heaviness without a controller in your hand. But this tune is rad-as, and should be experienced. I believe this is a preview of what the new update will feel like.

This right here is how the 125s were meant to feel. Keep in mind anytime you switch bikes in a lobby, you have to exit and re-enter, otherwise the physics are sped up for some reason.

Just treat 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear as if they were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th on a real 125 and the sounds will stay wrapped out

For some reason things like, engine, clutch, and sprocket really affects the speed of the physics. Bikes become less twitchy and more like butter.

so where’s this new DLC???

yet ANOTHER tease from the devs and then a lengthy monthly wait.

decided to play the other night after playing mesx2 lately and one thing i’ve noticed about all out that needs to be changed is you can’t feel the power of the bike when accelerating. we all know 3rd gear is a turd but it’s more than that, somehow the bike can shoot fast but at the same time there’s plenty of times where the bike just doesn’t have a “digging into the dirt when gassing it feeling”. it’s hard to describe because it isn’t necessary the speed of the bikes, it’s the feeling of acceleration. idk lol

I suck at the racing online on this game, I'm just now getting the hang of tuning and shifting at the right time.

I've spent a lot of time free riding though messing with the air physics. I put together this video and sent it in and mx vs atv chose the silliest clip in the vid to repost Laughing

There are new tracks coming with this update on the Moto ranch. I believe two new super cross and one new motocross track or vice versa

*** This will be the last video I plug for awhile here on the forum.

I feel this game has not always received a fair shake, and felt people who did reviews of this game the week it came out were irresponsible. I waited over a year to make this video, and with the new update looming, I felt this would be ample time to share my thoughts.

If you agree or disagree, leave a comment on the video itself. It is only fair that those of us who actually put our due diligence in this game should be the ones who have an opinion.

Thank you as always, see yal in the free ride lobbies. Much love

So I’m guessing it’s not happening in April. Or did they mean April 2020. Wink

Lol. I fired this game up today for the first time in like 4 months. The game is dead to me. There is a lot of potential but just a few new tracks just doesn't cut it. Plus, again, unless you're just into freeriding or playing solo races online there just isn't anything long term to play for. Sad.The more simulation chassis tuning sounds good but, again, with hardly anything to play for it just is dead to me.

I inquired on Twitter if they would possibly bring Endurocross back as that seemed to be pretty popular with fans back in Untamed. But they said that was not happening. Then teased other higher priority things are coming.

Sigh. Just the same ol' same ol'. Very frustrating. We know what everyone wants won't happen (at this point I just don't believe it will ever happen) so why not try a smaller, less popular series like EX?

Really? I run time trails all the time. I've turned thousands of laps at the RC compound.

That's cool but it just gets boring to me just to take laps. Maybe it's me. I've been spoiled but all the other sports games I grew up with. But hey, that's cool. I'm glad you enjoy it.

I really thought the Endurocross suggestion was a good one. Eric Perronard is one of the best guys in the world to work with and I'm sure the series would enjoy the exposure so maybe they could make it happen. But it got shut down immediately. I think they said they would love to but had bigger priorities. It kinda irked me cause the smartass in me wanted to say "What, Slash's Snakepit SX"? Which no one asked for. But then again, anytime you can partner up with someone that huge in entertainment and bring new eyes to the game you do it, whether the hardcore fans want it or not. That's smart business even if it made no sense to us MX fans. So I just kept quiet. Wink

Free ride + minimized windows on xbox. This game's pick up and play factor is what draws me back.

Turn on xbox --> click Mx vs ATV --> rippin dirt 2 seconds later

Amazing

I heard from them on April 25th and they said the patch had been completed submitted for testing. They said it would be released as soon as Microsoft/Sony finished with the testing. I would think it would be out any day now.

I would be curious to know from the developers an answer to this. Or maybe someone else knows. I appreciate the company tweaking the gameplay and engine but are the people who work on the updates to the game different than the people who create the additional tracks/content?

I don't know. To me, there is constant patches and updates but not that much content. I, personally, would prefer an emphasis on more tracks and various disciplines. Replicas would be great but Im tired of asking. But they could do Nationals, Classic Supercross tracks, Endurocross, Gncc, Hard Enduro. I'm not just talking free ride with off road stuff either. Actual races.

I think the engine is fine. Sure it's always cool to improve it but not at the expense of adding more tracks.

Just curious how that works priority wise to the developers.

Considering how small the team is working on it I would guess at least some of them work on both new content and patches. I know with the last ai patch that made their lap times more competitive I was told that it was just the first ai patch but they had to get back to some dlc they were working on.

I was also told the next phase of ai improvements should of made it into this patch. If they can get the ai more consistent and less reckless it would make the game way better.

I play offline but I think even the online guys can enjoy a fun championship mode. Milestone has their career set up much like real life which is great. All Out doesn't have the career set up to give as realistic of a feel to it, but if the ai is decent that would be a huge step in the right direction.

I know we sound like broken records, but replica tracks of prestige outdoor tracks should be VERY possible. Especially ones that literally do not exist anymore like Steel City and Kenworthy's. Don't even make the track the same name. Just do the layout and let the moto fans pick up on it. There surely can't be any legal battles with that? And surely the previous track owners of Steel City and Kenworthy's aren't going to fight the likeness of the layouts? I honestly don't know. Anyone else have an input on this that knows?

I am curious as well, is patterns of dirt/mother nature on someones property untouchable with respect to use in a video game? Is the recreation of someones property fair use? GTA games recreate many famous property sites and then just changes the name to "liberty city" or "los santos". After all, property owners own those buildings that are being recreated. How can a motocross track be any less fair use?

Lawyers suck, ruin all the fun.

Part of the issue, at least in the past, lies with the developers. They have gone on record by saying that they didn't think replica tracks would be that enjoyable and that they need to be more "fun" and a bit over the top. Now this was said a few years back so dear God let's hope those who have that opinion have moved on from the company.

Fact is, when the team does replicas, RC Goat Farm and JS7 Compound, the game is light years better than their created tracks.

It's just a fact at this point.

Yknow if replicas can't happen I would really like an honest answer as to why from either the developers or heck, even DC. You'll never hear it from Rainbow though because whether it's in their plans or not they are always going to act like it's possible and never completely shut it down. That would hurt their sales.

But silence and doing nothing for years tells the story. We were also told an official licensed SX game was impossible. So there you go.

For the record, I hope they prove me wrong. If they don't jump on it I bet Milestone does within 3 years.

We'll see.
