Not trying to switch but just curious. I run yamalube and guys at the races we’re saying they run marine stuff from Walmart. And they are fast guys. I’m not an oil expert so I am not gonna say whether it’s good or bad. Def would save a lot of money though.

+1. I know some fast guys whose bikes are a POS.

To answer the OP’s question...

Mine also has a little work. Compression slightly raised and port and polished cylinder. I run either aviation fuel (100 octane) or renegade 110 from a pump. Yamalube 32/1. I like the VP but it’s $$$

I ran Yamalube R for many years. Good oil but found it a bit dirty. Switched back to HP2 and couldn't be happier. Powervalves stay cleaner and pistons look even better. That said, most decent full synthetics should be fine............

I have been running Redline synthetic and happy with it so far. 55 hours on a stock 18 TX 300 with no issues. Most of the hours are MX and high speed off road. I am about to do a top end so we will see soon how it looks internally.

I moved from Bel-Ray H1R (expensive, hard to find, but best oil EVAR) to Yamalube R (get it anywhere, less expensive, but smokes a lot,) some time ago. I'm about ready to go back to H1R though.

My 125 is stock and I run pump 93. Would it be better to run the ethanol free even tho its 90 octane?

I mix mine half and half with 110 so after all that's said and done it's around 100 octane. Can't comment on just 90 but your owners manual should have the minimum octane needed for your bike in it.

I had a stock 2009 yz125 and I ran 93 or 91 ethanol free (I had both near me and just picked which one based on the direction I was going). I put 132 hours on ONE piston before rebuilding it. Ran like a top. People say change them every 20 hours, every 50 or whatever. But I’ve ran stock pistons in a 125 90+ hours on pump gas a lot. 32:1 yamalube. Never had a problem. I think filter maintenance is the most important thing. Not gas. If you’re a pro rider then yeah, you should probably change it often. But I’m a below average (C class top 3) local motocrosser and an A class hare scramble rider. You’re fine to run that.

100LL and Super M at 32:1 Everything from KTM50's to CR500's. When properly jetted there is no spooge and no PV buildup.
Towards the end of my son's time on 85's I also tried K2 for even more protection, but he was absolutely running the snot out of the little RM and while the Super M was working fine, I just wanted the best oil available.
