Doesn’t look worn to me, teeth are still straight with depth, obviously uses chain wax.

I run steel sprockets on my 450’s. For me it seems aluminum is only good for maybe a dozen rides before it shows wear and starts to compromise the chain too.

We ran Husqys the last three years. Aluminum sprockets, blue loctite, tightened up by hand and never had a problem.

Pictures of the bolt holes in the hub please. Will be able to tell alot from that.

That's what you get for going up one tooth on the rear sprocket.

You know, I've worn out quite a few sprockets in my 35 years of riding bikes, but never snapped a sprocket. Snapped KTM sprockets? I've seen a few in person and on here. None mine. Just saying.

I was just pointing out that it looks a bit worn out. It’s the first time I’ve heard of a KTM sprocket breaking like that. Crazy that it’s happened more than most of us know.

We used to ride sprockets till the chain ratcheted across the teeth.

Never broken a sprocket, hub, or bolts.

Back then, we were totally wearing out 2-3 minis per year. We rode to and from everywhere through the woods, down the railroad tracks. When everyone had bikes and your friends lived 5 miles away. We ran top ends till they wouldn't start too.
Damn near bald tires were normal too except for the race bikes. Thats how much we rode. Railroad track rock is pretty hard on tires, but it was the fastest way to get to town to get a soda and it was about 7 miles one way.

It was a different time. And nobody died or got messed up.

We did a lot of road riding too.........but we werent dickheads like the wheelie boys, just enough to get to the woods to ride to the local ride spots.

If you just lugged it through neighborhoods, nobody cared. Nobody called the cops. It was almost accepted as normal.

And nobody was shooting up or shooting up schools. Or vandalizing, or anything else. Making tracks in the woods though,we broke alot of branches for tracks and trails though.

Mother nature approved.
