Fourstrokes were heavy in his era

Big jumps on light old two stroke twinshock? No problem

Not many Hondas on the line

See oil under bike? Bad luck for James Thompson on his Mettise JAP, he was fast all day!

Rudolf Bártl (CZE) was probably oldest rider on the track, he is i believe 78 years old ans still rippin

That looks a super event and how cool are some of those old bikes? I love seeing older bikes and the work that must have went into them.
I read alot of very old classic bike magazines and love these type of bikes and builds. Very cool. My old man (Dad) was really into 1950's and 60's bikes and guess it rubbed off on me also! He kept two 1950's racing BSA's in my bedroom when I was a kid!
Anymore pics of these bikes/ event, especially the older bikes? Loving those Eso engines and also the Metisse JAP! Any Cheney framed bikes/ specials?

I was there, also. Went to see my friend Henry Gref (77 years old) race in the 72+ class.

Here is a video of the start and him running in 2nd place. He ended up leading the race for a while and finished 3rd. What a great weekend and race. Full of great bikes, cool riders, and a great track and event. This is my second ECMO race to attend. I raced in Germany in 2016 with Henry, and went to spectate this year.

I was there! I see myself in some of the pics. I was the lone American racer.
