Hi all,
Looking to get more top end (over rev) from a stock bike? It has good bottom end, just doesn't rev out well. Will a pipe do that or do I need to do more?

Have you adjusted your powervalve? That dramatically Change the power delivery.

-SXS CDI

-FmF pipe and power core silencer

-JD Jet kit

-MX head insert (VHM has a whole head also)

I thought the power valve only adjusts when the power come on not top end? We normally run the red spring on the 85 to get the hit down low. Yes going to put a HGS pipe and muffler on. I've played with the jetting and got that right I think, but will look into the JD jetting. What does the VHM head do?

Yeah, we have a 2018 tc125 and the engine is amazing but it does lack a little overrev.

Fmf fatty and shorty are a good combo we run with vp T2 fuel.

Mxa did a test on the bud (hgs) silencer. It should give you what you are looking for.

Edit, they tested on the 2016 model, i don't know how that carries over to your model

Well if you have it adjusted for too much bottom end or comes in too early you will lose some top end over rev.

The MX insert is said to change the compression for more top end but I’ve never tried it.

From what I’ve heard the SXS CDi lets the bike scream.

Under the tank there’s a wire you can disconnect to give the bike a “soft” map. Make sure it’s connected so you are on the “aggressive map”.

Higher compression hurts revs....

I don’t think it’s higher compression with the MX insert, the SX version is high comp and gives you more bottom. I put the SX on my bike with the VHM head.
