You, sir, have excellent taste in dealers. But since when is the 816 your locale?

So, I get what Kenny is saying .

This is confusing...which is why I like to get stuff like this from my local Husky dealer...

This is the way I see it. As a repair shop owner I look up and order parts daily, that assembly including the guards should have all came with the part number given next to reference #4.

That is a Husky OEM microfiche issue. They are the ones that number and print all those parts diagrams.

I ordered new hand guards for my Husky 300 from the OEM Catalog on their site. Here's what it shows... Wouldn't you assume it came with the hand shields? Before they shipped my order, a rep called and asked to clarify what I was ordering. Shields, or mounting brackets. All I needed was the shields. He said ok and got the order out. Well I only received the mounting brackets. After 30 minutes on the phone and the lady trying to tell me that it says it only includes the brackets, she finally finds the correct piece I need and I have to order that and return the other part. Huge hassle. And even after ordering the right part, I can't even find it on their website. Pretty frustrating to say the least.

tl;dr - If you need OEM Handguards for a Husky, Call them or you won't get the right part.
Everything in the box is part of the #4 assembly. Car parts are the same on my estimating database. Many times, all the parts in the box will have their own individual order numbers and part numbers but that is all #4 all day long.

I’m glad a few people have some sense.

whether it is Husky or RMATV doesn't matter, I would have thought the same too...a box usually indicates all inclusive.

You should have known by the price... Husky sells a set of valve stem caps for $13 ? set of hand guards for $16? Lol

The $16 price tag would have made me think you only get just a couple of bolts and a tie wrap, with the price of oem parts. Had a similar situation before, also annoying when you call to confirm and still get the wrong part, the larger the company, the less detailed on fine information the staff seem to be. In situations like this I always order from a small husky dealership run by a couple of moto heads, you might pay a little more but never miss a raceday.

of course the price may raise questions, but sometimes shit is cheap and the "you should have known" is easy to say.. Some of the suspension stuff is pretty cheap and I don't question it, saying gee whiz maybe I should pay more because of the price.

Rocky Mountain has always been excellent on all of my orders. I use them all the time and never have a problem. Also they have very fast shipping and great prices. Stuff happens, just chill out, and move on. Also that is why I own Honda and Yamaha bikes, parts are so much easier to get with no problems since 1974.

I'd expect to get everything that's in box #4 I entered the part number in google and found this which lists the handguard as part of the assembly. I had a little trouble when trying to get a price match it took talking to a manager to get it handled correctly.
