I had that Yamaha for a couple of years and went down hard several times. I get hooked up on parts and gear I bought a few things but not many. Also I was not coasting around the track in the beginner class.
Totally understandable now why'd you'd rail on some guy who posed a simple question about cutting down bars.
Happy New Year!
This thread was his version of fishing. You really need to work on comprehension.
That Yamaha also had the subframe replaced, after market foot pegs because the stock ones did wore down, a power now valve and dr d flywheel weights.
It was not blinded out at all. When things break you have to fix them in order to ride. When you get hooked up with after market parts it would be silly to use OEM stuff.
Like I have stated I have never bought a set of graphics, I have ridden many bikes with duct tape on the seats.
Pretty doesn't equal faster or better.

My main point here was that th original post was bogus! He is fishing.
The average moto guy should focus less on gimmicks and more on things that actually add speed.
I have had some help through the years from sponsors but my main sponsor besides dad has been a best buddy that manages the parts department at a huge huge parts dealer. I get left overs and such nothing mind blowing.
This is for Moto or offroad and for riding in the woods it is very common to cutting bars down to help navigate through trees.
My 2 cents! :-)
