You surely are living the dream man, congrats!

This is the photo that captured my 15 year old imagination, making me want to be a motocross guy. It was published in a magazine. I remember it as Popular Cycling, but certainly could be wrong.

While attending Dan Villopoto's celebration of life this past week I was given this very cool photo I hadn't seen before. It's from the only year I raced a 125 and on my local but long ago closed TT track. The late afternoon shadows indicate heat race or practice and rubbing side panels with my good recently passed friend Danny Villopoto.

This was the year I won the season overall high point and still running my bad-ass Dist 36 #69L. Then noticing at second glance that my father was there spectating from top left corner. Probably only caught in this moment because my mother (certainly cropped out of pic, or making a beer run for him lol) told him it will make a great memory of him some day.
And seeing it all for the first time some 42 years later?...truly priceless.
