Peick just had a really really hard face first crash right after the start. He was laying motionless so i’m really confused why they didnt put a red flag.. looked really bad

Yeah IMO they had 2 red flag races tonight. Both riders KO

Also on a side note, Herlings was there tonight as a spectator and the French TV made a live interview with him. Don’t know if he really means it or not but he clearly stated that he is interested in racing Bercy and this year was close because he almost got onboard for the race but then he said off season is important to let the body heal and relax so maybe another year

Very interesting & correct in Herlings' assessment of "healing" during the small portion of time available to all pro MX / SX riders around the world.

It's a good thing he doesn't have the US schedule of SX & MX or else he'd have no time totally off to recover hardly at all if he were to also do the MXdN, Monster Cup during October requiring training thru the only "time off" period of August / Sept to stay in MX mode and be ready for the MXdN. Hopefully his career is longer due to having the luxury of a fair amount of time off right now (compared to the AMA SX / MX schedule).

Hopefully he can try Bercy next year. His interview recently with MX Vice was a great listen (approx 30min in length podcast was pretty entertaining, check it out if you haven't yet, he always makes for a good interview).

Still can’t believe how they shove him from the track like that.. praying for some positive news Sad

It was a great night of racing though. The french guys kept the Americans honest. Impressed by Aranda and Tixier

Hope WP is ok. Going from a full blown factory engine to racing a stock engine is a recipe for disaster.

Wishing Weston all the best

I was in Stuttgart last week with Aranda, I help the team he races for in Germany, he has this stuff dialed. Guy's an animal on these small tracks.

Be well, Wes

it's like almost 4am there (9:45 EST), so it's all gonna be a big waiting game for a time, not necessarily because of him, but because of the huge time swing

I agree Osborne ripped it up for his first 450 ride and I would also love to see Ferrandis at least move up a spot to battle with "Snack Pack"he was very impressive on the 450 like Osborne. That track is finally becoming a real legit sized fully built Supercross track for once not like in years passed when they were at the other arena. I was disappointed though to see Jeffrey Herlings there and talking about not Racing! That was his chance to prove to the world that he is not only a Motocross rider. That was a easy track and he had the 2018 Supercross Champions from both Classes there I think he would have given Anderson a run for his money since he is just getting back into Race shape. Thats the 2nd time this year he had the chance to Race a easy Supercross track and opted out he was in the US after the MXoN's he could have also ridden the MEC which I think he had a good shot at winning because of its hybrid and simple layout! I was impressed with Tixier for a MXGP guy he did pretty good Soubeyras on the other hand was horrible!

They really need to stop pretending the AMA Supercross is the FIM World Championship and start their own series. They already have some Australian and Canadian rounds they could use Paris, Genova, and the SMX Cup. Put one in London, Dubai, Amsterdam, Italy, and one in the USA That's 10 or 12 Races right there that they could link together throw a few more in and they could have a actual World Supercross Championship which would be so sick having another Supercross Championship to fill this void they could even do a SXoN's instead of pretending they have one by putting the FIM's name on ours. If they did it right it would work, you would see a lot more AMA Riders going for a real World Championship and it would help build the overall sport across the pond because the MXGP's are suffering. They can't even get 10 guys on the gate at some events. You would probably also find some great Supercross riders to add to a already deep talent pool.

can't seem to find a good replay of sx2 race 2 and SX1 race 2 unfortunately

Imo its a pretty awesome event so far, really like the superpole, racing is good, track looks great, and the camera work is great too!
bummer for Peick, wishing him a speedy recovery.

While I see what you're saying, there's really no room for mxgp guys to do this, if that's what you're going for. They are racing outdoors for 9-10 months straight and they need some time to recover between season. If a series like this would emerge, it would consist of the regular sx euro guys just like today. Soubeyras, Izoird etc. Mxgp don't have time, nor wanna risk injuries, nor care much for SX in the first place. US riders will have a much better paying and travel convenient series at home so they won't care either

Tony said on Pulp show that Vince was riding with Malcolm a lot and had continued to improve. I’m excited to see him this coming year. This past year he seemed to avoid the usual drama, rode solid, stayed healthy, etc. I’ve never been a big fan but I’ll give credit where it’s due.
