You know how you think your wife is hot and then you meet her younger even hotter sister who’s bi and can put her ankles behind her head? That’s what XACT is, the younger hotter sister.

They need to offer the 52mm's to the public. I'm not sure most owners run CV internals anyway?

AJ I see you got a new set, did you get the new stuff, or still banging your wifeSmile ? How was Spoaks Saturday?

I wouldn't be surprised if it is something like the Kreft mod.

I don't think there is anything new to the Xact? Just switched names. If anything, it might be they are considering putting cone valve forks, or a version of it, on newer SXF and want to leverage the name cone valve to sell bikes.

I disagree with the 52mm's they are simply to stiff for amatuers and many pros except guys doing sx. This has been said by many riders who know what they are talking about.

by just offering the 48mm's they potentially save money on production and spare parts by only needing 1 style rather than 2.

So do I need to sell my latest edition cone valves now before the XACT is released so they’re still worth something? Laughing

XACT is the new motocross suspension name.
Xplor will remain on the enduro bikes.
Conevalves will have Pro CV added to the fork name.

Bangin the wife. Spoaks was good. Developed a lot of ruts later in the day that were awesome. The jumps kinda sucked though, he reshaped them and you have to slow down for everything or over jump them big time.

Also, The CV are noticeably stiffer than the AER fork. They don't taper down at the bottom of the tube and gives it a much better feel in the front end.

Is this having something do to with the rumor that ktm's and husky's are using the cone valve forks on production bikes next year? Possibly ditching the aer48 forks?

I’d love for this to be true but it’s hard to believe.

I don't know but if I recall correctly it's either the '08 or '09 CRF that had as close to kit suspension you could get on a production model.

I'm also wondering about that. I guess we'll see what forks the 2019 FE and RE bikes will have in a few weeks.

I think you mean the '17/'18 CRF 450's and and the new Kawi 450. Those are closet to kit suspension so far.

Possibly but I'm thinking the '08/'09 CRF did as well. Michael would have a better idea.

The 08 had a 47mm Showa spring fork, quite a bit different in overall components to a works fork at the time. The 09 CRF450R had a 48mm KYB AOS fork.

Based on the latest PRs, it sounds like XACT is a term for a valving component, thus the reason it'll be listed with both air and spring fork models.

The internals are basically the same whether you run CVs or not. All a Cone Valve system does is replace a mid-speed valve on the end of the damping rod. Or vice-versa if you use a mid-speed valve to replace a cv...

You can have it, they're just hard to get...more expensive...harder to get parts for...and possibly worse for the average Joe than a set of 48s would be.
