You guys describe a narrow toe box? I have a size 14 and a bit on the wide side with pretty big calf muscles. Always been on the lookout for a boot that will fit but not be bulky and weigh a ton.

This thread got me thinking ... I mean shopping.
Just picked up a used set of size 9 J1s that look to be a few years old, but barely used. I wear a size 10 Instinct and a size 9.5 crossfire and a size 10 Tech 8, and the size 9 J1s fit me well.
Impression of the fit is that they are a slim across the toes. I ride offroad and am not worried about comfort on a long day. They are nice and light and work around the single pivot very nicely.

I recently purchased a new pair of Jett boots and really like them. Being sold from distributor in Florida on EBay.I was wondering if anyone had some tips about them ? One thing I noticed is there's a pretty big gap between the shin guard and inner boot. I would think dirt would accumulate there. Thanks

Have been wearing Jett for years and just got my first Brasilian pair. Fit seems to be the same, maybe some changes in materials, but overall seems to be about the same as the Italian produced boot.

I would buy the same size that you wear in street shoes, if you have a normal of narrow width foot. The toe box is pretty tight, especially noticed where the bottom buckle sits.

Anyway best boots I have ever owned and the price is right, glad to have a new pair!

I used to be "sponsored" by them, and I broke the hinge on mine. I called them and they told me to take all the parts off the boot, and they replaced the broken part of the boot! They Just shipped me the part, and asked for the broken one back. Was very happy with the boots, and also a little let down when they fell off the face of the earth.

How would you compare the Jetts to the instincts and tech 8s in terms of protection? Do the Jetts have limited range of motion to prevent hyperflexion like other high end boots? Also, have you used them on slick surfaces like wet rocks? Do they grip well?

Jett boots are a little lighter than the Instincts, about the same in terms of ankle support but a little fatter at the pivot than the instincts. The Jetts are all plastic which is hard on graphics. I don’t feel the stops on any of these boots. They could all do with some closer stops. The Jetts grip as well as the instinct on wet rocks. Boots with a toe cap Gaerne Sidi TA are better for walking up a muddy hill. I prefer the instincts over the jetts mostly because they feel more comfortable and the warranty offered by Fox, but they are both very good boots.

I've been riding since 1979. I've had or wore every boot ever made. The Jett's were the best boots I've ever owned. Lite & protective.

I'm thinking of getting a pair of the newer JETT Lite boots but lately I have been unlucky when ordering boots or helmets on-line, depending on the brand they are either too big or too small. Unfortunately no dealers around here carry stuff that I'm looking for in stock.
I've read and read where some folks say they fit true to size and some say they run small. The EBAY web-site where they sell them says to order one size up. The seller does not have free first exchange if they do not fit and I've been burned more than once and ended up with boots that do not fit and have to sell them locally, usually at a loss.

Looking for more opinions on how they fit from folks who have the newly distributed JETT Lite boots ? Thanks !

By the way; I have a new pair of GAERNE GX1 (not the 2019/2020 with the tongue-n-groove pivot) in wht./red/blk/Hi-Viz, size 8 in the box for $160.00. Pair of NORSTAR all leather replica vintage boots by AXO new in the box, all black with red/wht/blu vertical stripes, leather buckles, size 9 (fit more like 7/8) $60.00. Also a used pair of the original SCOTT boots (blu/red), no box but I have the manual, with size 8 and size 9 booties $180.00.

HONDA907 ,

I'm curious to know why you say to use the Brazil size chart instead of the US size chart ? Being you are from S. Carolina wouldn't just use the US size chart ?

Thanks !

They are a plastic copy of the Tech 7. They are a very comfortable boot and have been wearing them for more than 5 years but this is my second pair and replaced the steel inserted arch piece one. Also have a new pair from Pro Tork made in Brazil and it fits the same. Also I have not ridden much in the last 2 years so my wear is a lot less then an every weekend racer.

Not exactly. They were a clean sheet design made by or brought to market by Remo Berlese, the founder of AXO. Designed for production simplicity, via using a small number of plastic components that could be made with more machine labor, and less manual. Also aimed at being lighter than other boots. It was a clever concept. They may have even preceded the Tech 7.

Hope that helps.

Couple updates, few more pit posse things came in. Bottle opener for wall on way. Vice, air compressor, hose reel, rolling cart and a rolling shop chair. Then I’m gonna call it a quits I think.

Brpt4 I know Remo brought them into play but he needed a boot similar to the best selling boot in the market at a lesser cost and used the model of the Tech 7 with a narrower toe box and with a few different components because and exact copy would not have been smart. This is what I was told by people in the industry. The boot was sold to Pro Tork when AXO pulled away from the sport in Europe since they became involved in the recycling business.

I got some about a year ago. They were sized wrong. I returned and got another size which fit. The sizing from Portuguese to English was wrong. But that was some time ago.

Still wearing them. Light boots. Real light and they eliminate some knee soreness while riding .that was my reason for getting them. Heavy boots, in the near future, will be associated with more knee injuries than people think when the studies come out soon. Durable as anything I had( Oxstar and the defunct AXO)

Not sure you can get Jett anymore. I got mine threw a distributor in Miami after I contacted Brazil. Still made, I am sure, but I dont know how to get them from another country.

I got a new pair of boots, Leatt, but haven't rode in them yet. Really only got them in case my Jett boots break. They are light also.

BP, I will check the sizes tomorrow and let you know. I usually order euro sized boots. If memory is correct, the fellow in Miami sent a 44 in Brazilian and not a 44 in Euro.

He thought they were the same. They were not.

Jett boots are hands down the most comfortable boots ever, with tech 7's second. Best overall boot probably not in regards to durability and I doubt it's the most injury preventive. I've worn new tech 10's, Sg12's, Forma's and I'd choose Jett over all them, but a few pairs is necessary

I think Instincts are the most comfortable.
