Went 2-2 for 2nd OA. Crappy, cold, windy as hell day. Bad start (dead last) in the first
moto. Somehow instead of being in third for the start (which worked awesome last
week) I was in FOURTH, spin, rev, bog. Catch up to the pack fairly quick, and what is
in second to last ? A KX 500 who seems to take up the whole track, I have to wait to
get to a technical section to pass (in the immortal words of Hannah, "You can pass
what you can't see"). Pass a few more and after the race I have no idea how I did,had
to check the board.

Second moto, holeshot, till a green fender comes up and t-bones me in corner one,
sending me off the track. Then an exact replay of moto one.

We crashed and burned this weekend. Practice on Saturday was great. Then came the rain on Sunday. Garren has not ridden in the mud in a long time. First set of motos he crashed 3 times. Come second set of motos and did not even make one lap of the his first moto. He came off start in a great position, then got bumped went down and him and bike both got ran over. His bike shows the signs of being ran over and so does the bike. He ended up with a splint of his right wrist. Went to the ortho today and was told his right arm is fractured in the radius and he could have some possible fractured ribs. He said there was nothing he could do for the ribs just watch him. I can't believe this he told him he could ride if he wanted to. But Garren decided he would sit out for the 4 weeks. This is the first broken bone for him in over 2 years.

I could not believe he said he could ride either. But you are right about sitting out for a few weeks. I want to make sure the ribs are all healed up before he goes back out. I was also surprised that Garren said he would just wait. It acutally may take me that long to get the bike repaired, so it may be a good thing he is waiting. Not acutally sure of all the damage to it right now. It looks like the bracket that holds the numbers plates is bent a little. Also, may have some damage to the subframe. We are going to take it apart this week when my husband gets home from Indiana. We are hoping that it is not that bad.

I pussed out due to snow, here and to the south 100 miles, or so, on Sunday. Saturday a buddy and I were going to lay out a small practice track and ride, but I think he pussed out thinking it was raining at my place. Bummer all around. Glad you got to ride.

Heh heh, no margarita machine (and no motorhome). Actually I didn't race but went down to St Joe's (Flat River) Missouri and had a great time dozing in the woods. They were setting up the Enduro course so we rode a lot of that along with a lot of racing each other through the woods on no trail at all (what I enjoy most). There's a good Mexican place we always stop at in Herculaneum on the way home.

Hey Pilot dude. I might know you from a few year ago if you did any racing up here in the NW. I used to race the +25A and +30A classes a lot up around here. Stopped most of my outdoor stuff around 2003. But rode with Don Biseglia , Trevor portner , Ted Holt , Darrel Zumstien , Dave eakon and so forth. I rode #503 on kaws for many years in the 250 INT ( kept trying to go pro.....but kept breaking my damn body!) last couple years in 02' and 03' i was on a CRF 450. I also ran the Hindsight MX for about 3-1/2 years....did you ever make it to our track?

Anyways....always good to see another NW rider on here.

Also....i notice a lot of the "big talkers" on the boards that seem to know everything don't chime in on how well they did this past weekend or anything. At Least I DID race.....unlike a lot of these guys on here that try to make you think they do.

Sounds like you had the most fun.
I have chosen which race to go to based on what restaurant I wanted to eat at on the way home more than once.

Yeah, I noticed that too man. I know almost all the names you mentioned. Don Biseglia built a track for me in 98 on some land my dad owned. I don't think Darryl Zumstein was there but his brother Brent was and we talked. He is still in 40+C and I got moved up this year to B. Ted Holt was there and I think he went 1-2 for 2nd overall in the 40+A. I learned 2 thinks this weekend: 1 The B guys fight harder and 2. I am not in the riding shape I want to be yet.

Snuck in a win in +30. My boy won a few races the same day. Just local stuff though.

No race but shitty practice
After a cold winter, I got out to practice for the first time

I don't understand...a sprained wrist from last year has created arthritis in my thumb and middle finger knuckle it seems. Never had it before and I was a little freaked out.

Any suggestions
