So, Kailub Russell has just wrapped up his 6th consecutive GNCC title. Is this the greatest run ever in GNCC? My knowledge only goes back to the early 2000s, but it seems like a pretty incredible run

I wonder if maybe, just maybe he goes after MX - kinda the reverse decision former MXers make... He's been vocal about finding motivation for GNCC, so maybe working with Baker, he considers it...

No one will beat Lojak's record of 9.
Summer Smith and Russel have 5.
Summers riding an XR 600 is still amazing.

Ed Lojak is the all time great..... talk with him weekly at the shop and he is a very humble champion, actually a very shy guy until he gets to know you. You would never know he was such an animal on the track....

Seeing Summers ride an XR600 will always be one of the most awesome motorcycle-related things I’ve ever seen.

It's a shame there is no timely coverage of that on this site.

Didn't even seem like he was riding hard. S.M.O.O.T.H

IMO he was the most important rider for the series. Brought it up to professional standards.

Agreed! RacerX or someone should do an in depth article/interview about his career.

Are they as dominant as Shane Watts was in his prime? I know Shanes total number of titles dont compare, if only partying wasnt so much fun though. ..

We tried GNCC coverage last year, but the views were really low...so we moved that budget over to more MXGP coverage.

imo Kailub is the GOAT. I believe he already has the all time win record on the bikes side and 6 straight titles, plus 2 XC2 titles. AND he won a race on a 150 two stroke. I'm biased since I've been a fan of his for a long time but hard to say he's not one of the most dominant of all time.

Maybe just do offroad coverage and not just GNCC specific? There are numerous offroad series from the East Coast to the West Coast.

It's hard to justify when the largest US off-road series pulls low views. We have to pay for the content and we can get more views expanding our GP coverage, so sadly it was cut.
