Before Ready Filters, I had the Twin Air super duper filters (or whatever they're called) that allow you to run the Twin Air filter cage without the backfire screen.
The bike definitely runs better with the Twin Air "power flow kit" but I wouldn't exchange it for the convenience of not having to clean and oil filters. Someday, many, many moons from now, I'll run out of the RFs and when that day comes, I'll go back to the old Twin Air filters and continue cleaning them with good old fashioned gasoline.

I have two exact bikes...Ran one with the Ready Filter, the other with a Pre-oiled No Toil...The results spoke loudly to me.
I quickly sent a resume to No toil.
No-Toil is the only way to go. Nothing is easier than throwing 8 or so filters in the washing machine with a little soap and walking away. Come back 30 minutes later and they all look brand new. The bonus is, No-Toil breaths better than most filter oils which gives you a little extra hp.
I had a feeling that many of us still used the old school method. I cleaned filters for years in gas(no gloves btw). We sell a ton of no toil product but i figured a good percentage of the customers were using gas or kerosene.
So ....how does this tie in to the kids bike lead ban ?????
How does the body really absorb lead or any other substance ???
There is no lead in gasoline today but there are many other chemicals. Is there any study out there that shows how any of these substances can be absorbed ???
For any of us older folks that used leaded gas to clean filters, any known adverse medical issues. (no jokes about certain peoples mental state)
Yesterday the CPSC Chairman called for an exemption on youth ATV and motorcycles. A pretty clear indication that there is no immediate danger to our kids. I hope the MIC,AMA and OEM's don't sit for a year hoping this issue will just dissappear.

Quick rinse and squeeze excess back in the bucket then wash with Dawn dish soap. When clean and fairly dry submerge the filter in the filter oil bucket and squeeze as much back out as you can then let it sit for a while and pop the clean filters into a zip lock bag.
Works very well and eco friendly.
Also use Twin Air filters.
It is more expensive, but I think the filters last longer, and I don't have the dangers of fuel and the disposing to deal with.
And what is so danged " dangerous" using gasoline?
No flame / sparks..........DUH!.....you smoke when filling up the family mini van?
Discarding the stuff is a problem..................just pour it in mini van while puffin a dubie, it's all good. But seriously, after you clean the filter use the same gas to clean your chain. Chain and gas in bucket, swril it around a bit, let it soak, remove and apply chain wax, let set up and place back on your quad..............I mean" sickle" Said chain will last three times longer.
Like I said, I am definetely not spamming here, I USED to work for them (it has ben 3 years) and I was there when the product was being put through a battery of tests as I had to get people to believe in the product. the first generation, that was around for only a couple months was garbage and I went through the whole "cheap isn't good" attitude of growing the company and I have witnessed first hand race teams, mechanics and naysayers proved wrong by testing and using them. It was kind of comical, I felt like a local drug dealer, where nobody wanted to use it becasue of the price, It couldn't be good. It was cheap. Once teams, test riders, or basicaly anybody would use it I would get the phone call.... "Can I get some more" haha. The main reason why I left the company was it's inability to keep the product stocked and the constant back order problem we had!
Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I am not knocking anyone, it is just that this particular one doesn't make sense by what I witnessed while I was there. I must say, having 2 "exact" bikes with 2 clean filters and being able to tell a difference at the throttle seems a little sketchy to me. If that is true you missed your calling as a test rider! For one, no two bikes are the same and a good test rider could probably tell some differences between two bikes rolled off the showroom floor. It sounds like you could fit into this catagory! lol.
The only downfall is you just can't wash them multiple times in harsh chemicals. But the idea behind the product was to not wash a filter but slap a brand new one in! Bottom line..... nothing beats a brand new clean filter, no matter what kind it is!
At the recent Adelanto GP, A friend and I showed up on my bikes. before race, I wanted to drag race. He is about 30 lighter than me. However, I am much better looking...moving on.
When we raced he pulled me hands down. Prior to our race, I suggested we change filters, because it is a top end race, and a clean filter will aid top end.
I put in a new No Toil, he grabbed a Ready filter...I had some left over Ready filters, and did not know he was using it, and did not know until I changed it after the week end.
We were parked about a mile from the start area, On the way to the starting line, we went into drag race mode again...This time I pulled him by 50 yards in about a quarter mile.
The only difference...No Toil !
Breathing right, or filtering right...However you wish to word it. The No Toil, worked better !
As far as Dyno results...I don't race on a Dyno, I race on a track...
