I’ve gotten a few 2:12’s now. Just raced a guy who was running consistent 2:05’s. Fml

Line choice alone dropped me from 2:11 to 2:05.

- Letting off the gas, hugging the inside walls vs gassing around the outside
- Letting off the gas over breaking bumps and squirly areas
- *** Most important *** Ghost race, you will never know where you can improve if you do not ghost race
I’ll take that into consideration. I’ve done a ton of ghost racing. That’s what has gotten me from 2:17 to 2:12

Are you guys jumping the wall to the step up or rolling it and clearing the step up? I ran a 2.11 but it was sloppy, I just need to hit all my marks for one lap.

Can you fast guys scrub? I can throw whip and have cool looking style on jumps/small tables but every time I try scrubbing i end up going off the track or not bring it back

Rolling it. I’ve tried jumping it a few times. Always case the next single.

I can scrub, but it seems like holding forward on the right stick on takeoff is more effective.

If you time the rollers leading up to it good you can clear it. I just havent experimented to see which way is fastest.

The ability to scrub will become easier the more you play. It all tends to feel natural when you play it a lot. If you wanna just practice scrubbing a jump try free ride, set a check point before a jump and you can just reset and keep hitting it over and over.

Or if you are a chump you just ram the wall full speed, and get reset on the other side of the wall uninhibited. Saves you about 1.25-1.5 seconds.

Another resaon we need a penalty for whiping out

How are you guys seeing the leaderboards? I can see the one on the menu but only shows my place and my friends places and times. I want to see the rest of the populations times.

I can see myself hitting 2.10ish times if I keep at it. But i doubt I have more then 4 seconds of improvement in me. Certainly not 10 seconds though

I am using manual. I was a fast B rider at the AMA level 20 years ago, and raced shifterkarts at the professional level. I generally know how to go fast, I just can’t seem to find that extra something in this game. In project cars I have some of the fastest times in the world. This game is elusive though. I really like it, but I don’t like being so far off the pace. What am I missing?!
This game rwquires confidence and agressiveness you want to be the guy with the hottest lap time then you have to JS7 from start to finish.
No crashes will get you third, but if you wanna win it comes down to who wants it more this game is slightly less polished but this game deffinetely bleeds sweats and shits mx/sx as far as the fun of it and and the strategy as well.
Mxgp just feels like forza lol

Yeah. I enter fast, but I’m going 16mph by the end. Once or twice I’ve got through clean.

Nope. Surprisingly its my only strong point. My issue is coming into corners too fast and blowing the berm out.

Same thing here. I get about halfway through and the bike does the "rocking horse" effect and I go airborne about 5 feet above the whoops. It's really weird. It does that in any whoops for this game for me. Seems like leaning back doesnt let you skim whoops like you would think

Had a bit of a breakthrough. I was using clutch boost wrong this whole time. Ran a 2:09 on the last lap of a race at Goat nat. Starting to feel it.

Don’t pull back the analog all the way.. pull it back about a quarter of the way and you should skim them pretty good.

I really like the GOAT mx track! My best thus far is a 2:06.5. Still feel like I have room for improvement.

The Goat Farm is the ultimate playground. I have played this game from the very beginning and just this addition to the game has made it feel like a brand new game. Its all about line choice and going slower to go faster on the National track. I started out running 2:12's on the national track and have improved to 2:02.99 being my best lap so far(still have room for improvement). Its all about being smooth, hooking the ruts, and keeping the power to the ground. I have been riding the RMZ450 Fully Modded, Tune'd (everything to the right except suspension... Suspension is almost all the way soft)
Just to clarify I ride automatic and dont use the Bull Sh**t glitch. Drop your Gamer Tag below if your looking to rip it up on xbox one.

I see you're new here. There's a Vital MX racing group for XBox if you're interested. There's already a bunch of names posted there so feel free to browse through it.

Man, I just have to accept that I am slow at this game. Just did 5 online races at the goat farm National after hot lapping for a few hours. I was running consistent 2:14’s. Finished almost last every time, fast guys were 10 seconds a lap faster. I don’t get it. Been playing since day 1.
Im one of the faster guys online in the game and i struggled with that track to the first days and couldnt get it under 2.12, now im riding consistant 2.05's with some smaller misstakes on the 250 2 stroke. The track is so rough and bumpy compared to all of the others so i had to change my ridingstyle completly and through corners in lower gears and stop charging everywere. Try do take as many insides as you can and make sure to release the gas in time so you can hit the ruts good and dont have do brake in the corners and try do take the corners in lower gears. This is the first track in the game where i actually use 1st gear a lot.

Unfortunately i dont think we can look at any of the goat farm SX times.
Saw that xStik had bumped me down with almost a second at the upper SX i think.
My lap was actually pretty good but i couldnt figure out how to go a second faster, so i started to ”cheat”...
Started of with skipping half a rythm section by just riding outside of it, and then skipping 75% of the whoop section...
Without tuffblocks the maps are useless for time attack racing, im not saying that Stik was cheating but if he wasnt that probably was the best lap ever in the history of mankind
