It definitely helped me to use automatic transmission for a really long time before switching over to manual. As already stated, knowing how to take advantage of manual shifting isn't worth it if you don't get decent starts or don't know the fast lines. It took me a bit to get the hang of manual shifting but it was well worth it.

It took me a bit to get the hang of manual shifting but it was well worth it.
Manual shifting is good but there are times when the game will shift automatically for me and it will screw me up. I start in second every time I leave the gate it auto shifts to 1st then sometimes through a rythem section it will change gears by its self sometimes

The honest way to ride is to ride it as u are supposed to do. Are laptimes and wins so important that u need to "cheat" in order to win?. The F'ed up part is that ppl who use this glitch seems to excuse themselves by saying that most fast dudes use it but that couldnt be further from the truth at all. Most of us fast dudes who doesnt take advantage of the glitch dont play with dudes who got caught using it and and no championship will allow ppl using the glitch to participate. The sad part in this is that most ppl using the glitch probably wont be especially fast at all after they have fixed the glitch because the whole rythm of the game, cornering, the way ju take whoops and rythm sections Will be different withouth it and we who dont use it Will get faster through the way the game should work and we Will be the Ones with the advantage later.

Another thing ppl need to understand is that most serious racers in the game doesnt even want to race against the 'cheaters' anymore and are even contacting mx vs atv to try to get them banned and even if the glitch would dissapear no one would trust or want to race the 'cheaters' even in the future.

Im doing low 1.17's on a 250 2 stroke on shadow valley, 1.26 on blacktip, 1.16 on stingray shore, 1.03 on rutherford, 51's on Anaheim and san Diego etc and i never ever ever use the glitch. Didnt even know how to do it before tonight so no all the fast dudes does not use the damn glitch. Most of the guys who use it are slow dudes who need the glitch to be fast instead for learning how the normal fast lines works and how to get fast the normal and honest way and thats completly f'ed up to be honest. Anyway i know that they are working on taking away the glitches and both me and some other dudes have just now sent mx vs atv screenshot from this thread on how some ppl use it so all glitches dissapear. Sad that most ppl using it probably Will suck after they are gone and loose the interest in the game, but i rather see that happen than every honest racer getting fed up and quit after getting tired of all the glitch users.

first of all it’s not a glitch. we’re not talking about the first gear glitch that the game had a while back where you could go 100 mph in first gear. this is using the gears/clutch boost to get the most speed you can. it’s not a glitch. and it’s not cheating. working on taking away the glitches? lol dude again, people are just using the gears and the boosts those gears give you. noones saying you can’t go fast not using the gears and boosts. it’s just a way people ride. you’re taking it way to far and you obviously don’t understand what people are doing because nothing is “f’d up” and again, it’s not cheating. have you ever played cod and had some dudes do some crazy shit on you that a human with a gun in real life could never do? it’s not cheating. it’s finding what the game gives you and using it to your advantage. sure it may be annoying to race someone that’s doing it, but it’s not cheating lol

I myself play the game with a realistic approach I’d say. Since I don’t play online I only deal with out of control, reckless and just simply slow ai. So far I like the AX tracks but with the ai and short lap times the lapped riders are nonstop and literally all over the place. I wish I could race someone using the glitch or technique or whatever you wanna call it, as long as they could stay on the track.

Racing anyone would be better than the ai. I’m sure if players are in the same race with differing opinions on how to play the game its probably irritating to all involved. Trust me your all still better off than us bad internet offline players.

I’ve said it over and over on here and directly to the guys working on it, the ai needs fixed. Plenty of us play offline and it has championship modes so you should be able to enjoy playing the championships. Ai is never gonna be as good as real people but the hard level needs to really be fixed. The ai needs a consistency to it as well as fast lap times. They need to run laps that are based on hitting the good lines with smooth fast laps. Now that the optimization’s are improved so much I think the ai needs to be added pretty close to the top of their fix it list.

Bro it is a glitch when there are ways to manipulate your clutch boost to get way more out of it then u should. When some of you guys using it you can even hear how u are on the rev limitor passing ppl and going twice as fast through some sections even if they are going full speed in 3rd themselves so yh when u can manipulate the way u ride the clutch and shifting in a unrealistic way to get many seconds faster its a glitch. Its the f'in definition of a clutch glitch even. The game is not made to be ridden that way its just manipulating a misstake that rainbow missed and even they themselves are calling it a glitch and are working on taking it away ^^.

Yh thats must be why mx vs atv is banning accounts right now after getting caught using the glitch after ppl who got tired of other ppl abusing the glitch recorded them and sent to Rainbow ^^. Everyone might be able to use it, bit it is still a glitch that shouldnt be There, its a misstake that they r trying to fix.

And ppl need to Think about what could happen if ppl dont stop using this glitch all the time online and other ppl keep reporting them. Like suzuki Said when we were chatting online today- Rainbow could might as well be forced to take away the clutch all together or make it like in mxgp 3 where you have no use of it and that would destroy the game for everyone..

Dude are you for real? Ive been racing online since day one and i probably win 90-95% of the races i enter using the glitch/cheat you are talking about.
Not a single dude i have raced has been mad about it and like i said, i tell all the people i race that are 10 seconds a lap slower than me to start using it.

If the clutch glitch does in fact get removed the game will probably be better but quads and even doing a 5 rythm will be impossible, and thats what MVA is about, doing shit that isnt possible in all scenarios in RL.

If you want a SIM, there is one on PC, i played sim for 2 years but i have always been a arcade game player.

Everyone is complaining about the so called glitch. It seems some are for and some are against. There you go Rainbow the frame rates aren’t the hot topic at the moment so get to the ai.

I play this game as sim like as possible. I still get pretty decent lap times. Like I’ve said I don’t play online my internet doesn’t allow it. I’m guessing if I could do online I’d probably rather race as realistic as possible without the glitch turning it to arcade like. It sounds like there is two groups of players, those who use the so called glitch and those who don’t. I personally hope in the future games they go more sim like than arcade. Maybe a solution to keep all happy would be leave as is and let you choose arcade physics, then have a patch to make a sim mode to keep physics the same but eliminate the ability to do the glitch. They’d also have to create online lobbies accordingly.

This is one of those situations for them that one of the two groups of players won’t like what they choose, unless they could do something like I mentioned. To do that would probably be a ton of work so I dont see it happening. I’d rather see them focus on getting the braap riders get a consistency setting and let us pick only them or let us put the pro riders on oem bikes. Most importantly to me is just fix th ai, they really hold this game back from being as great as it could be.

I don't get how people say it isn't a glitch. It's literally the same as the "whip glitch" in Reflex. Using something that is a mistake in the physics to gain an advantage. That's the definition of a glitch.

The new DLC is the tits. Lots of fun for $7.99. 20 lap Arenacross races are pretty sweet too. Can't believe how rough they get. The rhythms and finsh lines become a bit of a doozy. Golf clap to Rainbow.

I agree, tons of fun. I only did like two races online but the track deformation made it challenging at the end of even 10 laps. The rest of the time I spent ghost racing all the tracks so I'd have the rhythm somewhat down for when I play online tonight or whenever.

The new arenacross dlc is fun. But man.... That AI is absolutely terrible. It looks like a smash'em up derby. Tough blocks flying everywhere. Guys doing a B line straight for other riders, completely disregarding their own race, and going way off the track. It's kind of terrible that this is the "All-time" difficulty level. I'm lapping guys by lap 5 every time.

Yeah and they cant even do a triple, is that all-time according to the devs? I would like a Q&A when they actually explain some of their very shitty features they actually released a game with, and updated several times without even touching it.

Smash'em up Derby? Kind of reminds me of real life Arenacross! Jokes aside, if they don't fix the AI, I'll just keep stroking my own ego as I roll over the finish line, doing a one hander.

U should stop with the glitches n frggin stop telling ppl about it because i can promise u that rainbow Will make the whole clutch completly unuseable if it continues.

Just ran some 15 lap races on the new Arenacross tracks, the tracks really rutted up, multiple berms, braking and acceleration bumps. jump rythems also become very difficult. ??

The terrain deformation on the ax tracks is really good, but I think it ruts up a little too quickly if I had to nitpick.

Xbox. It’s like you push both of the sticks over and the first second or 2 the bike turns really slow. Then it keeps turning a second after you let the sticks go. The first 10 minutes I played since getting the update I kept flying over berms or coming out of a corner crooked and going off the track. These are sections I’ve railed over and over so it’s definitely different for me. If this was another tweak to the physics then they need to leave it alone. It was great before and this feels like a huge step in the wrong direction imo

I had the same problem you’re experience.. I think their bike “tuning” steering and traction will make it more reactive but Could be wrong
