I've honestly never paid attention to the AI riders. So maybe RC is the only new inclusion.
Yes, but interestingly enough, Brian Deegan is a competitor in Lucas Oil trophy truck racing, for team Monster Energy

Xbox LIVE has a sale on backwards compatibile games. Paid $3.99AU for MX Unleashed for the original Xbox.

I did own it years ago. But when they added BC for it and I went hunting my copy I couldnt find it. Thought some others here might like to grab it cheap.

I'd just like to leave this right here as a suggestion to everyone at Rainbow for DLC. This would be fun to have again. A whole series. And if you haven't watched the race...enjoy. Never a dull moment.

Yep EX and supermoto, and even hillclimb would make this game hall of fame worthy.

AX seems like an odd pairing for this game and it's physics. How are the tight tracks supposed to work with track widths that are a mile wide?

Agreed. I honestly don't care for Arenacross. I don't follow it and, although I usually buy most DLC, I'm not getting this one. It's strange to get it the year the series ends as well. No way to promote it during the actual race or on broadcast. Just a very strange choice. And, agreed, with their choice in track width it also goes against everything AX.

Considered me puzzled on this one. But hey, I hope some enjoy it.

Is it better than untamed?

I'm actually really looking forward to the AX tracks. I'm not the biggest fan of Arenacross but with the terrain deformation and short lap times, I'm thinking there gonna get really rough and rutted. The price alone makes it hard to pass up, I thought it would of cost more.

I bought this game for PC a couple months back but could never get into it. I always played all the old MX vs ATV games though. I’ve been loving MXGP Pro and the last titles before that. Alive and Reflex were fun, and I even put a decent amount of time into the last MvA that everyone hated. I played this one for like 30 minutes and quit. It didn’t feel right. The way the rider looked with the bike, I seriously just couldn’t get into it. I couldn’t even find a multiplayer match at 5pm on a Saturday or Sunday lol. I hope others enjoy the game, but I get more enjoyment when playing the MXGP series, and I can race against other people online, and hope Milestone makes a Lucas Oil Pro Motocross game one day.

Me too, I actually love racing that little sx track at the ranch with a big group.

It is a good price, no doubt. So props on that. I just don't play the game very much. I've stated the reasons multiple times so no need to rehash.

Personally, I hope they either do Lucas Oil MX replicas or Endurocross replicas. But I'm kinda doubtful either happens. Hoping for the next MESX game to be announced. And looking forward to Dakar.

But hey, props to the team for doing some sort of replicas and making it very affordable.

So I’ve really logged some play time with MXGP Pro and despite the ugly scrubs, I’ve started to enjoy it. I’ve held off on MVA for a while now but this thread is seeming to get a lot of attention. Has some of the patches made MVA more fun? Is the game worth purchasing? I think my GF said she saw it on sale at Wally for 29.99? Worth it? Compared to Pro and/or MES which has also been a blast for me...

Thats up to you man. I think the game is great. I also really enjoyed Supercross the game. Both very different. There is a serious learning curve for MvA all out though. You need to take time to get to know the game before you make a judgement. At first, i was disappointed. Once i started to understand the physics, the game blew my mind. Only game I have liked from them since reflex. All the others I just played cause they were basically one of the only options for moto games.

Totally agree if you play All Out give it time. It is a much better game than it was on release day do to all the patches it’s received. This game feels way different than anything from Milestone and if your used to their games it’s gonna take awhile to learn the feel. For me at least I prefer this games physics and terrain deformation. Time playing can’t be stressed enough though. Most initial impressions are bad, but I think most change their mind once they get the feel for it. I feel for those who don’t like it, their missing out on a great game.

The only thing I don’t like is the ai, they are bad, like really, really bad. The ai is supposed to get addressed at some point with a patch though. There are plenty who seem to hate this game, but they do listen to are feedback and try to do what we ask. I also like Milestones games but they don’t seem to have the same learning curve. To me at least with Milestone they put titles out so often, which isn’t really a bad thing, however when doing so they don’t patch as many things, even when everyone has the same complaints. Rainbow will have a lot more dlc options also to keep it interesting.

After reading Michael's post, I wanted to get more specific about my first experience with the game.

First time playing the game:

I enjoyed the nationals and seemed to be fast compared to AI so I wanted to try my hand at supercross since I enjoy that more. It took me 20 laps just to complete a lap without going off of the track. And even then I still had terrible rhythm. It probably took me 40 laps at one track to have a perfect fast lap, hit all rhythms, and not fly off the track at some point.

It was VERY difficult to say the least. You're not going to find me in the top 10 on online track leaderboards but I hold my own online. Usually finish between 1st- 5th in a mostly full lobby.

When I say "give it time" i mean "GIVE IT TIME". The game's hard to get under your fingers. Milestone games play themselves compared to All Out.

The feel is totally different. I mean COMPLETELY different. But I enjoy both All Out, and Monster Energy Supercross equally for completely different reasons.

But when I pick up a moto game, 90% of the time, its going to be all out. 5% of the time its MES, and 5% of the time is MXGP 2 cause that's the last MXGP game I actually enjoyed playing.

Hope all this helps.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I’ll proba my end up picking up. MES was my first milestone and that took me a while to master, and pro as well since it was pretty different to MES. So the play time is something I’ve learned to expect at this point. I’ve just been out of work due to a back surgery and I’m so bored with all of my games and want something new. I just remembering hearing the first impressions of All Out not being very good but following them on social media and seeing all their patch notes has made me reconsider. I also watched a YouTube video on rider customization and there is soooo much more gear options which is a huge deal to me... so again thank you for the input. Probably will go pick it up here shortly.

I think you'll enjoy it. I play all mx games but this I play way more often. Their not done patching either so it should only get better.

You may want experiment with different camera views also, they can give it a different feel. Most importantly like we said giving it time is necessary.

I’m not sure if there’s any dlc that’s been released other than authentic bikes and atvs but is there a place you can access it all at once like the an “Extras” option or is it just the bikes and stuff for now that you just access through the “dealership”? Curious because
a. If there is dlc for tracks and stuff Id like to see what they are
And b. I remember on MVA supercross they had the authentic bikes as dlc that you could purchase as a package rather than individually.

I guess I could search for it on PS store but for more was wondering for future reference..
thanks

I’m on ps4 and get from the psn store. The bikes you can get from in game do to a recent patch. Maybe they will do something similar with track dlc. The way the game is setup from my understanding is the dlc is in the most recent update. When you do purchase it just unlocks it. At least for me it’s kinda late if they do bundle stuff I bought all the bikes already but no quads or utvs because I never use them.

No tracks have been released yet so we’re not sure what the layout will be. I’m sure it will be another game type box or just added to the list of existing tracks. It’s been said a million times but I cant stress it enough...play in 1st person. It’s night and day compared to 3rd person

They do have a bundle it looks like for machines. It’s 7.99 for all the bikes and the one quad (if available for that brand, don’t use those anyways) but it’s a much better deal. I tried first person on MES and hated it because the helmet stays in line with bike (not with handlebars) so it was hard to look ahead of you while Corning in particularly. And also when throwing some streeze over jumps I couldn’t tell when it was time to start being the whip back but in all honestly I’ve seen more people in favor of first person than not I’ve always just struggled to get it down.

All outs 1st person feels much better than MES’s imo. I played MES in 3rd person

I do enjoy the 1st person on All out and I think it's the most realistic looking view, but honestly, I run better when i'm in 3rd person. I also prefer 3rd person. 1st person isn't for everyone. But I do agree it's the best for a realistic experience. Even the way the screen reacts in crashes is spot on. Its crazy.

Hell yeah, the crash physics of the bike is freaking epic if you stop spamming the B button an actually watch your bike go flipping.

Which brings up my PLEASE DEVS IF YOU ARE PAYING ATTENTION can we please find a solution to the auto-respawn.

Solutions: - 3-4 second ghosting post crash
- revert back to delayed respawn like it was at launch
- Spawn slightly farther back than where they crashed

Lightyears better than pro.......... pro is terrible in my opinion, ruts are terrible, scrubs and bike feel are terrible handling and bike setup are totally uncoordinated and the ai take the same lines every lap and because the tracks are so thin you cant go from one side of the track to the other because there is alway to HUGE ruts that go allllllll the way around the track. Im short, its boring, slow, and one lined.
