One feature I would really like to see is the option to make the finish time in a multiplayer race longer than 30 seconds after the first person finishes. I like to sometimes try to be competitive against 450s on the 250F and I'll still be battling people on the longer races (5+ laps) but still be over 30 seconds from the person in the front.

That said, it is so much fun once you find a good group of people to race with. Hopefully they fix this with the next patch, but hopefully they make it so once the game host leaves a new host is auto-assigned instead of closing the match.

Hey everyone .. First of all, thank you for all of the feedback we’ve gotten over the course of the last 5 months. As most of you know, we are small team of less than 30 developers and so having awesome gamers, mx and off-road fans that engage us with feedback, bug reports and great ideas has been a guiding force in the direction that All Out and the future of MX vs ATV will go. .. We have been hard at work on some exciting stuff that we are almost ready to release, so we wanted to reach out with some quick updates: .. PATCH: While in the testing phase, we have been able to find some great additions and fixes to the game that we decided to add into the current patch, so v1.07 is now our v2.0 remaster, and it is now working through the official certification process with Sony and Microsoft! .. DLC: .. We have already announced our newest vehicle DLC, which will be 2017 and 2018 Yamaha and Polaris UTV’s. Our team has been working hard behind the scenes on 2 unannounced track DLC projects. The exciting thing about these projects is that we have been able to really use the technology that we’ve discovered during our first Unreal 4 engine development cycle. We can’t wait for you guys to see the fruits of this discovery, which include new improved terrain deformation, environmental weather effects and new lighting, just to name a few. The first of these two DLC projects is now complete but will not be released until after the 2.0 patch so that we can make sure it is released the newest version of the game. We will begin showing this off once the patch drops. The second will come out at a later date. .. That’s all we’ve got for this update, but we’re going to begin giving these updates on a more regular basis. .. Stay wild y’all, .. @DevTheREASZN Rainbow Community Manager

Ok, so now they will be updating us? Not the last time when they said they would give us regular updates but then mysteriously things went silent. Now its really real. Sure...wink, wink, got it. So, lets see whats going on...Reminder its a small team, check. Regular updates, check. More vehicles I wont play taking up resources, check. Patch in review for months, check! Oh, and so many updates and improvements it will be version 2.0?! Check. lol

Apparently 2.0 is the new 1.0 in real world terms these days. Call it whatever version you want Rainbow, this game was released unfinished, unoptimized, and broken. Getting this product to 1.0 has yet to be achieved! All those weather enhancements and terrain deformation details are exactly what many probably thought we were getting in the release version back in March because this was based on the "UNREAL" engine. I look forward to seeing what the real 1.0 version was expected to be. Of course it can't be said, but really it was probably Nordic who should get this crap and I have posted on their site telling them so. But I am seeing a little bit of history coming back around circa 2012. I think for Nordic to change its name to a formerly bankrupt name of "THQ" was an awful idea to incorporate into as THQ Nordic. Why would a publisher/developer ever want to be associated with a bankrupt company that failed? THQ didn't exactly end well lol.

I'm thinking they thought this patch would of been in our hands by now. They do use the excuse of a small team quite often. I also think it's kinda the truth and another reason it gets kinda quiet from them at times. They may start on something that takes longer than they thought it would and we just keep waiting for news.

I hope they start keeping us updated better. I know there is always that lack of info to surprise us also. That may work great if we get something good we didn't see coming. It also sets up the problem of us having to much time between info to have thoughts of what would be great. Then when we don't get that stuff it leads to dissapointment.

I think this is a really good game and it's getting closer to what it should be. It's not just them that releases games with issues, it's pretty much any gaming company these days. With this team I think the small number of guys working on it makes it seem worse because it takes so long for a patch to release. It's taking awhile but I think it will be worth it.

Agreed, find me a game that is "finished" in 2018. Everything comes out half-baked, it is the new trend. Even the most notorious of all developers, Nintendo, had to release updates for Super Mario Odyssey, which prior to the last 3-4 years, was unheard of for a Mario game.

take a look at "No Man's Sky" by Hello Games if you want to see what a small developer can do if they remain committed to the game. that game came out completely unfinished and fell short on a LOT of promises. here we are now with the latest update and it's one of the most played games on Steam. the reviews went from mostly negative to mostly positive.

Nordic seems like they are committed to All Out in my opinion.

Hopefully Pubg will be a similar story, I've been playing it a ton and the overall experience is so good even with all the random issues. I find alot of similarities in the issues between Mx vs atv and Pubg and also the level of commitment to each respective games finished product. Be cool if they both are successful for the consumers sake.

I wonder if the gaming industry or consumers created the need for the put out half done glitch ridden game more often model? Sucks either way I guess..

Nevermind. Sounds like the patch is released. Basically fixed some things and added Side By Lames for the DLC. More AI allowed on track which is cool and fixed the banners. Hoping the two strokes were part of the audio fix

Yup, I left work early today to catch a flight later, turned on my PS4 and there is a 10.6 GB patch. I figured it would come out today since I'm leaving town...

Its a fair question considering the fact that in most cases, Xbox patches are delayed by microsoft for 3 years.

It is out. I only had time to spin a few laps around the compound before I left but it seems like the graphics are sharper and the 125 is definitely nerfed. Not gonna be beating any 450s on it any more...

Seems kinda weird the patch is so much different in size between Xbox One and Ps4. I don’t know why but I’m glad the Ps4 isn’t as big my internet sucks and I’m hoping my 10.6 GB patch is done in the morning. Anybody play with the patch and notice if the terrain deformation is improved much? It sounds like it will have a bigger impact with the dlc tracks but I’m hoping the current tracks benefit as well.

underwhelming at best. the first person does feel different, cornering is a bit different. hit the banners, i don’t hear the 4 strike audio change honestly. 2 stroke sounds are glitchy to the max. the menu flows better, the first room i tried to join online didn’t work but the second one did. i ended up racing with some buddies....the distance in front/behind leader still disappears after lap 4 and it showed positions/finishes incorrectly in the races we did. which was with only 4 people. it wasn’t even that bad before. if i’m being honest i don’t really notice the gameplay being smoother or graphics any better, but i also didn’t really have any complaints about it before. my game always ran smooth unless racing ai. slight change in deformation, but i dont exactly know how to describe it. i guess they get a bit deeper? but nothing to write home about. i did notice the sunset in one race seemed more noticeable so i guess that was a tweak.

i had fun playing. i always do. i hadn’t played the game since mxgp pro came out. they’ve said now that the whether updates and “majority of terrain deformation changes will show up in the new dlc environments”. this tells me theirs obviously more then just AX dlc coming. weather doesn’t really play a role in in stadiums, and although new deformation will be nice on sx/ax tracks...i feel like they have some outdoor stuff coming where it will really effect the racing.

ps patch is 10 and xbox is 22 i believe. hard to believe xbox was that much bigger, and i bet you ps guys are going to be really underwhelmed with this “MAJOR UPDATE”

i wish the devs would drop the exaggeration of everything and just state info and dates. we don’t need the exaggeration of everything. a major patch to me is all new weather/lighting/deformation and everything else, inot adding matt buyten as a pro.

From the patch notes it seems like they didn't do the terrain deformation thing yet, and I didn't seem to see any difference but I only did a few laps on the compound SX track.

that’s the thing. the terrain deformation wasn’t even in this patch. it’s like wtf.. it’s like they’re intentionally fucking with us lol. like “here IT IS”....except this and this and this.

At least from the sound of things they are gonna keep working on it. I’m still waiting for mine to finish hope it’s done in the morning so I can run a few laps before heading to work. I just wish they’d get it to the finished game with working online. The ai still needs addressed it’s way behind MXGP Pro and even it’s ai isn’t great but it’s way better than what All Out has. I want dlc tracks badly but I think finishing the game needs to be the highest priority.

Sure there free ride is fun to mess around on to give some variety. The quads and utvs myself and majority of players don’t even use. It’s mainly purchased and played as a mx racing game. That should be what it excels at, and gameplay wise it does a pretty good job of that. It just is lacking in the racing for us single players the ai and braap feature need a major overhaul. The online I never do and there’s actually a lot more single players than people realize. In today’s gaming world the online has to work correctly though and I hope this patch does that. If the online is fixed they need to work on single player.

I get they are a small team and think that players need to understand that. The guys working on the game also need to understand when their told the same thing by so many of us they need to get somebody on that small team to work on the problem areas. Keeping us informed is really important also. They are pretty good at answering questions if you message them. It just seems to me if you let us know what to expect, what they are working on and hopefully better estimates on patch and dlc release dates, it would save them from wasting time answering the same questions.

There does seem to be some weird concept of let’s keep everything a secret. I think doing that sets up even more complaints. Updated terrain deformation sounds great and I hope it is. I hear that and think if it gets rough and breaking bumps it’s gonna be awesome. If all you get is a little deeper rut, it’s still good but kinda disappointing when it’s not what you were thinking it might be. The dlc is same way we all want the pro nationals and I have high hopes for it but if it’s not gonna happen that’s the kind of thing where you tell us sorry it’s not possible. Letting everyone’s imagination run wild isn’t the greatest idea in my opinion but they obviously think it is for some reason.

Update makes the throttle snappier, me miss the last 125 sounds, whips and turns a little bit cooler, ruts and breaking bumps are pretty sweet on some tracks. On the online front, servers way more stable, alongside color improvement, textures sharper. Frame rate drastically improved. Good job imo. Not a fan of pre-recorded 125 sounds though. Rather have the dyno recordings, helps with racing.
